The Interstate dealer here gets used military batteries back that he charges and checks out. He sells the good ones for $30-35. He had several of the 6TL's awhile back.
Don't forget GSA
I've bought my deuces from GSA and have got super bargains compared to what I see elsewhere http://gsaauctions.gov
GSAalways lists their vehicles as needs repair and parts may be missing. But if you can go look you'll find some good deals. I bought one in January for $878.00...
I just found this estate auction in Denbo Pa. It is unbelievable the amount of cars and trucks this guy had. He has one AM General in the auction.

Does anybody know if this event is planned for 2006? I'm only about 80 miles and I'd like to come and I know probably some more that would like to also.
GSA actually doen't get the information. The manager at surplus property or forestry sends them the info and they list it for sale. Normally GSA never sees the vehicle. Surplus property usually has a better knowledge of the trucks (not always) because they got it to sell to another agency direct...
They are especially bad on years. They pretty much list it however the local forestry or surplus property manager descibes it. I bought a 1965 from m37 as a 1951 1 ton Dodge. I sent GSA a good closeup of the data plate showing M37 and delivery of 2-65 and they sent me an updated SF97. I had to...

I know, you'd think GSA would research things a little better before listing them. I guess they just want to get rid of them and they know someone will bid.
GSA has a deuce for sale in Pa http://gsaauctions.gov
They have it listed as a 1953 AM General M35A2 :D
I'll bet AM General didn'y even know they made any in 1953.
Seriously, it doesn't look too bad if someone is close.
Hey, the one you posted is priced high, he wants $39.95 + 10.00 shipping. Here`s one for $29.95 and $6 shipping. He says retail is $35.99

That's a nice 'little' truck. I might buy it if it was bigger. 1/50 scale is small. If I had a tank like that I could set in or take out when I wanted it would be a close copy.
Well, I found the problem with all your help. The primary filter was so stopped up I don't see how it even ran. The secondary filters looked new, but they must never have realized it had a primary filter. Runs a lot better now and starts easy. Thanks
The USMC put thes pieces, referred to as paperclips on their deuces and M37's and probably most other trucks as well. Well, you may not lift your truck, but you can tie it down.
