    Oil for fuel

Is it possible or practical to clean used motor oil to be used as fuel for a deuce, even as a partial mix? I know a local trucking company at one time had a machine to clean the oil to mix a small percentage in with regular diesel.

    Smoke and oil pressure question

Good oil, changed regularly will eventually dissolve the gunk from the engine. Sometimes cleaners will loosen heavy buildup and cause it to drop in the pan in chunks, which possibly could stop up the pickup up tube. When you change oil, reach your finger in to see if you have sludge buildup in...

    Smoke and oil pressure question

My 66 oil pressure idles at 40, runs almost 60 on the road. Of course it was a fire truck, only has 3400 miles. It is non turbo, it smokes a lot starting out, but once I get up to speed I don't really notice any smoke unless I hit a hill.

It definitely sounds like a slipping clutch. On your 2nd gear problem, do you have the right gear lube in the transmission?

    Idea for gas price help

I now have 4 diesel trucks, 2 Cummins diesels and 2 m35`s. I've been keeping up with all the info on alternative fuels. I will be checking waste oil sources pretty soon once I get everything in place. Thanks for your input. Keep me posted on your biodiesel progress, as I'm looking that direction...

    Idea for gas price help

GAS WAR - an idea that WILL work This was originally sent by a retired Coca Cola executive. It came from one of his engineer buddies who retired from Halliburton. It ' s worth your consideration. Join the resistance!!!! I hear we are going to hit close to $4.00 a gallon by next summer and it...

    Need your VIN number

The frame number should be on the frame rail on drivers side. Older trucks had it just in front of the front axle, newer trucks just behind the front axle. Usually about the center of the frame, but my 86 has it at the top of the frame behind the front axle.

    Need your VIN number

Vin number Kenneth, it looks like yours should be a 1970. I don't think its worth changing how its registered, I just think its neat to see how close we can get to knowing the actual year. !970 must have been one of the largest production years, judging from the range of the sequential...

Kenneth, what is your frame number? Thanks

    Need your VIN number

Your serial number indicates a 1970 M35A2 with winch unless AM G did duplicate some serial numbers.

    Need your VIN number

Vin number You may be right on that. The frame serial number is pretty consistent on the Kaisers but the AM G`S seem to be more difficult as they evidently used the first 2 numbers for several years.

    Need your VIN number

Vin number 0539 would indicate a 1970 or 71 M35 A2 w/w. The number on the frame should be 0539-13735 The 71 at the end of the first letters would indicate possibly a 71. Thanks

Learn in and out on your winch

5 ton dump It sure looks like the same truck, but the one I looked at was in Jesup Ga.

    Need your VIN number

The serial number 0525 24551 would indicate a late 1970 or 1971. The last 2 numbers of the 1st set of numbers would look like its a 71. Thanks

    Need your VIN number

Vin number Is that the number on the frame or off the data plate? Thanks
  19. R

    Need your VIN number

The 0525 would show yours was a 1970 regular bed deuce, the 20558 shows it was a high sequential number, therefore it is most likely a 1971. I see also from yours that some are using the first part of info from the data plate instead of the frame number which is the 0525-20558 as you stated. I...

    Need your VIN number

Was 1970 when AM General started making the deuces? 05 would be a 1970 Kaiser but if AM G started in 1970, it could be a 72 and still have the 05 in the serial number
