It is the first time I have cleaned it since winning the truck. I do think that some new fuel hoses are due on the truck. I will check it again on the next oil change.

I put blue lights in my dash. They were not bright enough... so... I took come contact cement and aluminum foil and coated the areas around the lights with foil to add a reflector. I also put some on the rear of the speedo and fuel gauge. This was the trick. It works great and is plenty...

Sure... Remove your air cleaner. The top of the IP pump has a hose coming out almost straight up. That is your fuel return line. It is attached to a check valve that is screwed into the top of the IP pump. Remove fuel line. Get a wrench and remove the valve. Take spray cleaner of your...

5 out of 8 bad glow plugs =

All came out very easy and in one piece. As a matter of fact, it was probably one of the easiest fixes I have had yet. She fired up the second I hit the starter button. And I did change all 8.

    Heavy Vibrations at idle...

I stopped by the mechanic shop down the street. The manager there use to work on CUCV's in the Army. He looked at it and felt the vibration and said that, in his opinion, the vibration was all wrong for a bad harmonic balancer. He said the likely source was old rubber in the motor mounts made...

    Heavy Vibrations at idle...

Looks like the part is about $62 and not that hard to change. The book says change the HB every 75k miles, so its due.

    Heavy Vibrations at idle...

Started last week or that when I noticed it. When you give it fuel, the vibration seems to subside or is not noticeable. The 1009 has 78,000 on the clock. I'm betting its the harmonic balancer but I wanted to get yalls opinion. What should I look for to see if the balancer is bad?

Smittybilt G.E.A.R. Seatcovers in the M1009

These are the Universal Covers, however, the older Jeep seats are almost identical to the ones in the CUCV. The only issue I have found is the bottom strap on the seat back is a inch or so too long. It leaves the bottom a hair loose, but its not a deal killer. Here is the link again...

The passenger side Smittybilt GEAR Seat Cover came in yesterday. I had a chance to get out there tonight and install stuff. I also ordered a Molly Vehicle Panel from Supply Captain http://www.supplycaptain.com/index.cfm? ... uct_ID=591 because its cool and I figured I would find a use for it...
