    Simp's M923 Big Cam Repower

The weld sure looks purdy on the tube...but the yoke end shows very little actual penetration. Wonder where that guy learned to weld like that?

Texas to Alaska ... what to take?

She said I can't go without her, she's dying to go visit Alaska and around Canada. So I think I'll be towing our fifth-wheel trailer with a MV with A/C and new air-ride seats while following you!

Texas to Alaska ... what to take?

Time will catch up to him.... I'll never forget the sound of my rotator cuff tearing in my shoulder, like a wet ripping sound and intense immediate pain...one of my first thoughts was "OK I need to rethink how I lift things," as well as 98G's voice right afterwards "I told you so!"...

What have you done to your MTVR today?

Your KS farm field seemed to be growing quite the crop of 818s & 925s last time I was there...maybe switch up seeds or fertilizer to get MTVRs to grow instead?

    Alternator broken housing

YES. I replaced mine with a civilian alternator; puts out twice the amperage but weighs a fraction of what the stock unit did. Glad you were able to find a replacement housing to fix yours.

    War and Peace Show

WOW. I'm going to have to save this to re-read whenever I'm having a bad day.... Glad you made it there & back, and got to enjoy the show.

    War and peace the journey

Glad you got to attend with some of your vehicles! Too bad your photos didn't save, that is one impressive show. Quite a journey & an example of patience/persistence for Tobias with his HMMWV.

    Essex HVMA first show.

Very impressive lineup of vehicles! They all look fantastic, I'll bet they were happy to get out and stretch their legs for the drive there and back. And your wrecker looks good as new, probably better than new. [thumbzup]

OK you win, you are right & I am wrong...I'm wrong much much more than I'm right so I should know better by now.... Since the Search functions are mostly user-driven, they leave A LOT to be desired...

    LDT-465 back to multifuel

To get myself back on topic, this right here should be the final answer necessary. In the end, it's your motor and your $$$ if you don't believe us "naysayers." I've gone through a couple sets of injectors and IPs, even after running used motor oil through centrifuges, super-fine filtration...

    LDT-465 back to multifuel

**ETA: I understand what you're saying and this reply isn't meant for you as much as the folks who don't want to do any research at all, as pointed out above & below. Few things are more frustrating for me than seeing a great thread posted with excellent info, and a week or so later someone...

    Very true...the fakebook method.

    LDT-465 back to multifuel

Why not just spend an afternoon searching this site? There's a wealth of outstanding info here, the search function is fairly easy to use (Pro Tip: go into appropriate forum first, such as "The Deuce", enter your search terms under "Search Forum" drop-down tab). Probably better than anywhere...

    53 michelin xzl tires

Those are Budd pattern studs (aka stud-centered), so an easy way to remember how to tighten or loosen them is: Tighten to the Front, Loosen to the Rear. If you look closely at each stud, it should have a "L" or "R" stamped on the end, as long as they don't have a ton of paint buildup on them...
