    Thoughts on this M1028A2

That's a Deuce bed, cut down and modified to fit that truck. The tailgate is also a cut-down Deuce gate...notice the 5 hinges. It looks like it was done very well. The bed is now useful for working that truck, find toolboxes to fill the gaps between the bed & rear wheels/frame, and you've got...

Pics of Trip to Jack's Gov Surplus

I was there with 98G several months ago; Jack was out front working on his Dodge truck, we stopped to chat, and he invited us into his yard for a tour. Great guy, LOTS of stuff!! CUCVs galore and more....even have some newer M923s and other 939-series trucks in one of his yards. Great guy...

    M923A2 elusive electrical short

Most of the electrical gremlins I've encountered have to do with loose/painted/rusty ground connections....as Will pointed out, a digital voltmeter is your friend. The TM section has some really good troubleshooting instructions as well.

    Master cylinder removal

It's great fun, isn't it? I find that coming in via the rear crossmember hole with some long 3/8" extensions & a deep-well socket take care of the two upper bolts, while you can use an open-end wrench on the two lower bolts. Then maneuver the MC in through the crossmember hole and work it...

USAF GMC 5500 utiity truck info needed

The older trucks in the 5500/C50 range used 6-lug Budd wheels. The 6500/C60 sometimes used 10-lug Budd wheels, whereas they were standard on 7500/C70-series trucks. ETA: Sometimes the 5500/C50 trucks could be had with 5-lug Budd wheels.

Questions with rear tire air valve - broke!

My apologies, I've been extremely busy lately...I apologize for the incorrect information, I bought some from Erik's in the past and they were 1/4", not 1/8" as you received.... Try a hydraulic hose repair shop, they usually stock the proper fittings. Sorry about the misinformation and the...

    New from Oregon

Good info on Cummins 8.3 6CTA engines in both the 5-ton thread and the 5-ton Hot-Rodding/Modifications thread. As for the Axletech axles, I've noticed tidbits in several different threads about them; Search will be your friend on those. Which axles are they? That company supplied drivelines...

HEMTT rim on 813 need longer studs

Will these work on the front studs, since they're a larger diameter than the rears?
