Many kids nowadays don't know how to use a manual transmission. My sister-in-law burned up the clutch in my wrangler in 3 days. The flywheel was was rainbow of colors. My latest deuce came off a air force base and the clutch doesn't have long to live.
As wolf said there is hope. I have a scrap front frame that I salvaged.
Fortunately, I keep my parts numbered for just such an emergency.
PM me if you are interested.
What's your serial number. I've got one of it's brothers waiting for pickup at Ft. Polk. Serial number 11587. It's also a dropside but not in kit form.
Change your oil and check keep an eye on it. The FDC just tries to keep the power constant for fuels with different heating values (gasoline-WMO). The multi-fuel aspect of the motor is due to the head/cylinder design. Sounds to me like you have a leak somewhere.
Should have just "borrowed " the stuff from another truck to get your truck running. When I picked up my M818 it had headlights but they were unplugged and held in by 1 screw. I am sure the originals were used to get someone elses truck road worthy.
A quick search turns up a lot and can really improve ones knowledge level.

RE: Re: RE: Trailer Removal - Tools required?
That pic is a CDN M101 1/4 ton jeep trailer. The M101 here is the 3/4 ton trailer pulled by M37/M715/CUCV trucks.
For the typical 1.5 ton M105/M113 trailer I use a bottle jack or a hi-lift to lift it up and even then it is still useful to have a...
M101 is 3/4 ton traliler and can be easily moved by 1 guy (when empty). Take a hammer to move the landing if it's stuck. Safety chaings as well since the stock chains sometimes aren't long enough to connect to a civy truck with a receiver hitch. Air compressor to fill the tires if necessary...
Thanks for the pics. The m726 will be leaving for Houston this week. Next I can work on the M275/M49 recovery.
Did those tools come in the M49? First time I ever got a bonus with my purchase from GL.
