Be sure to set the float level as per the instructions. It makes a big difference.
A bad coil is the most common reason the 230 ohc doesn't run. Also, you might find you need to rebuild the fuel pump.
I ran my mep701 over the weekend powering the ac in a rv trailer. The speed on mine never moves unless I change it. Maintained a steady 60 hz over 24 hours of operation. (except when it ran out of fuel).
Mine doesn't have the metal clanking sound.
Anyone know where to find parts for these?
For the last 3 EUC's I have used an electronic signature in the PDF file. Sailed right through with no problems. Much easier and faster than scanning the original. Use a digital to take a good photograph of the DL and email it with the EUC.
I have a LU4 winch in eastern Pa that I need to get to Houston. Alternative drop off locations are Ohio, Alabama or North Carolina or Louisiana.

Looking at the pics, my thought was poor tie-downs allowed the truck to slip rearward, with too little tongue weight the trailer started to whip and voila, CUCV turnover.
Use a pickup. I can't see towing a m416 behind the deuce. I towed a m416 behind my m715 on sunday and it was anything but level. The pintle on the deuce is even higher. More like dragging the trailer than towing. And certainly don't even think of backing up with it back there.
I just set it on the roof in direct sunlight. Put it back in the cab when I use the truck. The black box I fastened the bulkhead behind the passenger seat using double-sided tape.
