    M37 Gear change

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: M37 Gear change An easier option is to put taller tires on the m37. The 1100r16s 38" tires fit on the stock rim and give you a the same effect as changing the gear ratio while retaining the look of the old rims. Also mine has a 318 which like any v8 gives you a...

    GL or Private sale?????

After helping a friend pick up tires from GL, I decided one of the private party m35's I found locally was not such a bad deal. Definitely figure in the cost of getting it home.

Cheapie 5 Gallon Sand Blaster problems

I have been using the 20 gal sandblaster from tool king for 7 years, with reasonable success. Have found the biggest problem is clogging caused by the air pressure getting to low. I have used it on 2 m37's, lots of little parts, and the inside of my house (1100 sq ft. did all of the log...

    20 x ? wheels for 52" Michelins?

RE: Re: RE: 20 x ? wheels for 52" Michelins? the 395/85r20 (46.6?) is as large as you can go without spreading the deuce axles. Even then if you chain up the rears you can only do one axle and need to have chains on tight. There are some pics of deuces with that size in the photo section. I...

    Can I Burn Crude Oil

If you can find out the API viscosity you want it fairly thin, and filter it. It should be ok but I would worry mostly about clogging the filters or lines and negating any savings. You can probably find an oil analysis for a nearby field. If it is actually condensate be aware that is more...

    balancing tires with ball bearings?

RE: Fluids I also heard good comments at Pirate about True Goo. It seems like it would take a large volume of plastic bb's to balance a tire. Maybe they are using them to fill the tire when running low air pressure. I am behind on flipping hubs and mounting tires as I spent most of the...

    balancing tires with ball bearings?

RE: Fluids The centramatics would eliminate the lube issue. The closer to the center the more weight you need to make it balance though. They do have the right size.

    balancing tires with ball bearings?

RE: Fluids Sermis, So the tube split was probably not related to the antifreeze in the tube?? Were those widened rims? I think I will try the antifreeze since I am running beadlocks unless I hear some other bad things in the next day. Or I hear of a better liquid option.

    balancing tires with ball bearings?

RE: Fluids Thats about 3.75 pounds! I wonder if a higher % of antifreeze will give less evaporation. Where did it go? Was that out of the tire that split? I got the rims. They look good on the outside but are pitted seriously on the bead. They have been powder coated but not enough to...

    balancing tires with ball bearings?

RE: Fluids Thanks, A gallon is aroud 7 pounds. I haven't decided whether to go with ww fluid or antifreeze. I might look at the nontoxic antifreeze also. Do you know how much the bead lock moves around? It is not a run flat just a bead lock.

    balancing tires with ball bearings?

I didn't think of the lube effect. I am supposed to be getting military bead locks with the wheels. do you think that will keep them from coming off? Does any one have a better choice of inexpensive fluids that won't freeze or evaporate to use?

    balancing tires with ball bearings?

It's early and I'm waiting for the coffee to perk so there is probably something very wrong with this idea. Is there any reason I could not use antifreeze (undiluted to avoid separation) To balance the tires? It is stable over a relatively large temperature range and I probably won't run it...

    Strong Suggestion for Idled Trucks

I had problems with mice eating civilian wiring and living under the hood of my m37. A friend told me to try fabric softener sheets and they are working so far (2 years)

    m35 or m34

I looked at it yesterday. It is an m35 now and has m35 bed without flip down sided which is what I was looking for. ld466 white non turbo, heater, air shift, non working winch, looks like 83 rebuild. No title but paper work from Hudson salvage. Cab, doors, and box have rot at bottom and...

    m35 or m34

I am going to see if I can make a deal on a truck advertised as an m35 but the hubs are flipped like an m34 and it looks like it is running singles. Are there any differences besides the flipped hubs The guy doesnt know much about it but thinks it was that way out of the military. Will it...

    New style CJ deuce?

Very nice maybe you could use a CJ6 or M170 tub! I think that windshield would work on an m37 too.
