Blower Motor acting weird and now truck will not crank. M1008A1

Glad you got it fixed. Just an FYI, the gen1 exciter wire and the fan switch are controlled by the same fuse. The wiring diagrams do not show this. Shown in Step 5 https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?121589-CUCV-GEN1-and-GEN2-Exciter-troubleshooting Your Phantom 50A fuse does not...

New owner m1009 but problems already

Also always use quality fuses. The cheap made in China versions they sell at Harbor Freight can cause issues. Many of the common repair tips can be found in the Helpful Threads sticky at the top of the CUCV forum

    Rt 66 Convoy 2017 MVPA

Drove out to El Reno to meet up with Gunner USN and Antenniaclimber. It was great to put a face with names. Took Gunner to Sid's Onion Burger for their world famous burger and chili fries. Sorry about the rain but at least you are not driving in it today. Good luck and have a safe trip on...

Tim. If that is the DB4 you got from me it is used and needs a rebuild. I bought it as a spare for the CUCV2 if I ever needed one.

looking for 86 D30 wire diagram

Your best bet might be to buy a good harness from one of the members that has parted out a truck. If you go the Painless-wiring route you will be on your own as far as getting help. The CUCV wiring harness is different than the civvy harnesses. Not saying it hasn't been done before but it isn't...

So what did I win ??? CUCV II, III ????

On the CUCV-II with the service which in the ON position energizes a relay. After a few days it will drain the passenger battery (12v side of the system)

The Fusible Links 101 thread has all of the locations of the various links along with gauges. I have never looked at which ones burn but maybe Amphi or AntennaClimber has.

Winter is here already. It was a cold 98 today....lol Looking at this Standyne manual a DB2 is a DB2 even with different size plungers. http://www.stanadyne.com/docs/misc/99009%20DB2%20Manual.PDF DB2831 DB2, 8 cylinder, .31" plunger I would think any shop would be able to work on it. Now the...

Since you have a second 6.5 pump to test with, tell them that is from a 6.2. The replacement parts should be the same. When are you driving to OKC? I haven't seen you in a while. :-)

Sure has come a long way from August 2011 when this adventure started. You need to send the pictures to LMC Truck for their restoration layout. Did you install Lo-Jack so all the SS members will keep their hands off? :-) Great job Tim.

Looks great Tim!!!! I'll be down to pick it up as soon as you get the tranny ironed out. You really need a Chebby horn button. The GMC just won't cut it. ;-)
