    recalibrate speedometer?

Don't forget the 1009 will need the speedo reduction box removed if you are just plugging in numbers to find the gears.

    Injector Pump replacement

The crank shaft will have to be turned from the bottom with a large breaker bar, a mirror really helps to see the three bolts you need to remove and if you have a magnetic socket. Now is the time to use it.

thread postings not showing on main SS thread listing..?

Yes, that gets you every post for the past 24 hours. The "New Post" link at the upper right of every page gets you every post that has happened since you were last on the site according to the site. which is not always the same as the last time you were here.

    Bed removal options

I use 55 gallon drums, wooden fence post and a hi lift jack. Here is my drop side after removal a few years ago. Oh, I prefer to use an engine hoist at each end or a chain hoist at each corner. However, concrete floors and strong overheads are not always available.

thread postings not showing on main SS thread listing..?

That thread showed up for me under both "new post" and on the 24 hour listing. Maybe you didn't refresh when you looked?

    M1009 a/c

If you are trying to figure out what it is. My first thought was evaporator/fan/plenum from a full size van of about the same vintage as the CUCV. Show us under the hood as requested above and maybe we can narrow it down some. Pretty much you have an experimental system that we will only be...

    m1009 injector issue

Don't go gorilla tight with it either. The line will crack if crushed. While using your 3/4" open end to tighten the injector hard line, make sure the injector isn't moving as well. If it is, loosen the hard line, tighten the injector up and then tighten the line up. Don't forget that the...

So, what's the deal with trailer prices? My weekend rant.

If only 2000 of them were made, Brent Mullins must have cornered the market. He had them for sale outside his place for years. He must have moved dozens if not hundreds. Of course, he stopped selling them about the time I wanted to get one.

So, what's the deal with trailer prices? My weekend rant.

The Canadian 101 is the same as the US M416. Except, it has more handles and tie down points. Basically, if it is hooked to a vehicle. Two people can grab the handles and move it with ease. Makes backing into tight places nice.

    M101 vs M105 Trailer

Kwai and I towed a M101 behind a M109 600 miles one day a few years ago. They follow great. You can't tell it is there unless the early morning or early evening shadows are just right though.

So, what's the deal with trailer prices? My weekend rant.

Here is something to consider. The military trailer smaller than the M101 is the M416. They make 101's look cheap. However, they can be pulled by Jeeps and such. That means more demand than the 101 series even. People got around it by buying the Canadian version of the 416 which is a...

    Front Battery In a CUCV

What voltage are you getting on each battery with the engine running? If it isn't being charged, it will die first.

    Who is this??

The truck is owned by somebody in the Houston area. He posted about running the truck at the race last fall. I just searched and couldn't find it though. My boss drove one of the cars in that race. The linked to track in Angleton is where the race was held.

    I thinking about this

See if you can actually climb in, sit behind the wheel and get your feet on the proper pedals. I almost can't. Then see if it is for sale.

    sensor clip

Heat index isn't even over 100° today. Going to be downright chilly tonight at 75°. Of course, I am inland 100 mile from you two. Glad you got the plug figured out.

Will all diesel trucks run on Alt fuel and which alts

It is a neat feeling just pouring stuff in the tank that normally doesn't go there. To really get the exact types of fuels you can run, the manual is a great resource. The -10 list them out for you. Should be a data plate on the dash that says what you can and can't run.

    IP Pump replacement

Yes, the lines on the pump sure can be installed with just an open end wrench or flare nut wrench. However, 1/8th turn, flip the wrench, 1/8th turn, flip the wrench, 1/8th turn, etc... Sure does get old when a crow foot will let you go 3/4 turn at a time. Do it however you are most comfortable.
