    Weare rally 2015

Well, I'm out - work has reared its ugly head and I can't get out of it. Best laid plans of mice and men.... Have a great time guys....

    Weare rally 2015

Already? On a Monday before the show? Sounds like an early start - I hope this isn't one of those shows like Aberdeen that wraps up early, I'm travelling 550 miles and getting there Friday morning, I hope that the show is still jumping all day Friday and Saturday, hate to get there and half...

    Weare rally 2015

I called and reserved a camping spot, so all set! Not getting a vendor spot, but if someone wants me to bring them, I have to sell: CUCV M1009 radio rack, goes behind passenger seat, $100 CV-157/URR sideband converter, $300 aluminum medical transport chest, $50 deuce shift levers of all...

    Weare rally 2015

What's the latest you can reserve spots at Weare? I know for sure I'll need a spot in the camping area, not sure if I wanna get a vendor space or not, I might decide that last minute before the ride up (depends on work, what I decide to bring to sell if anything, etc.).

07/11/2015 - Breakfast in Eldersburg, Maryland

Might be able to come up and visit for the first time in a couple years in the CUCV. Trying to get off work, though, so not 100% sure I'll be there.

    Weare rally 2015

It's looking like a definite that I will be going to this - if anything to get away for a couple days. Plus, I can add three states to my "states been to" list (ME, NH and VT), so it's worth the ride. I wasn't able to attend Haspin last month, and can't make GA rally because of pre-scheduled...

MadDawg's new CUCV M1009 - recovery NY to VA, 375 miles

Well, had to get another vehicle since the Dodge is pretty much toast and can't move around much anymore. Knew that camogriz in NY state had his CUCV M1009 for sale along with a M101 trailer for a good price, thought it might be a good candidate for a semi-daily driver as well as a vehicle I...

    M47 Dump Project Is Home

Wow, you're really doing a number on that dumper. Bet she's going to get a full restoration and every nut and bolt will get the attention they deserve! Looking forward to the girl being put back together, only this time, with FEELING!

information on M101 3/4-ton radio antenna support trailer?

They were empty but modified. The only thing in the trailers were the racks and reels for all the stowable gear, which was not there. I think they were probably refits from Tobyhanna. Shawn Coleman having them in central PA would make sense...

information on M101 3/4-ton radio antenna support trailer?

Anyone? 2nd time is a charm, I guess.

information on M101 3/4-ton radio antenna support trailer?

There used to be a pile of 3/4-ton trailers at Colemans' Surplus that were antenna support trailers. They didn't have an extendable antenna in them that mounted and extended while in the trailer, it was merely a trailer that had lots of cabling, antenna masts, a small genset, and related radio...

    1941 K18-C GMC Recovered today

I'll keep an eye out for any ads for one online. I've never seen one and I'm sure they are a lot rarer than most WWII radios since they were so large and they were pre-war design. Most pre-war stuff is rarer than the wartime and post-war stuff, mainly due to age. And even if one is found, in...

    1941 K18-C GMC Recovered today

Need any assistance in trying to track down the original radio gear for this truck?

    Weare rally 2015

I've heard great things about this rally! Love to go if I can get my ducks in a row vehicle-wise by then. Plus, I bet July in NH is a LOT better than July down here in the south!

saving military communications gear at hamfests

Been awhile since I updated this thread - been going to hamfests but I've been saving up as much as I can for a CUCV so I haven't been buying much at all. Did save this item at the Manassas VA hamfest this past weekend. Set of crystals for the BC-659 WWII jeep radio set, this lot included...

    M-62 Anyone?

That truck is worth about $2K to $2500 in scrap value, I'd offer $3K and see what he says. Odds are you meet in the middle, and it'd still be a fair deal IMHO. The M-62 wrecker was a beast and earned its keep throughout the Cold War. That hood is definitely a Memphis product. Looks stupid...

    Meet Mr Rusty

I think a pool filled with EvapoRust would cost more than the CUCV did. And after 24 hours of soaking, you'd have a cab and some misc. pieces of sheet metal floating in the pool.

    CCKW new owner with pictures.

Finding an original bed, and some other sheet metal parts, would be fun. And I'm being sarcastic. But even if you plan on keeping the water tank on, and running it non-stock-looking, it would be neat to see her all painted up OD green and driving again! Great save!

    Meet Mr Rusty

That ship needs some zinc anodes on it BAD!
