    LDT-465 in a daily driver?

other gear ratios for Rockwell axles?

Why do I need search, when I have you guys? You guys know a lot more than Search does! :D Yeah, $1500 per axle is for the Jeep buggy crowd, they have all the cash. But it's about what I figured.

other gear ratios for Rockwell axles?

Is there an aftermarket source for different gear ratios for the Rockwell axles? I went to Boyce Equipment's website and they only sell with standard gear ratios, I thought it anyone had different ratios they would.

    M37 door skin crack repair

Could always cut the affected area out in a square shape around the crack, and weld in new metal. Might be a bit overkill, but you'll never have to worry about the crack repair getting worse...

    Thanks Doghead!

No, I believe he is Elvis' illegitimate love child.

    5 Projectors at Mechanicsburg

I might be able to swing by there on Monday, not sure if they allow pickup on that day. I will be passing through there anyways.

    refinishing a PRC-77

The paint match was a nice coincidence - it was what came out of the spray can from MalWart. But you're right, it does look close, doesn't it? Roger that, natem - I used to work at a place in the late 1990s that had a large blast cabinet with an industrial sized compressor and bag filtration...

    1939 Artic Cruiser ?

That might be a costly recovery, WM. According to Wikipedia: "The Southern Ocean lies in the Southern Hemisphere. It has typical depths of between 4,000 and 5,000 meters (13,000 to 16,000 ft) over most of its extent with only limited areas of shallow water. The Antarctic continental shelf...

    refinishing a PRC-77

Oh, I have very little patience, and less as I get older. But I can do a little, walk away and do something else, come back when I feel like it. So, it gets done slowly, but yes, I am a perfectionist sometimes. Many thanks for the kind words.

    1939 Artic Cruiser ?

BTW - it may be too late to own the Antarctic Land Cruiser. But you can still own the Alaskan Land Train!

    1939 Artic Cruiser ?

I remember that read. If you want a great story, but a few parts bordering on the unbelievable, you need to read a Dirk Pitt novel.

    refinishing a PRC-77

Had a couple PRC-77s here from a customer, he needed one of them stripped and repainted as it had a LOT of previous paint jobs on it. I'm talking about 20 layers, it was actually soft, forming a cushy layer on the outside. The paint was so thick you couldn't see the screws on the latches of...

    Slave cable source?

You can get the ends on eBay from beltfed34, and make your own cable with heavy welding cable.

Lunette Ring to 2 Inch Ball Adapter

It's a very neat idea, and well executed, but I'm with the last two guys, getting a pintle hitch for the truck side is easier. However, if you just wanted to build something different and new, you succeeded!

    MV Vandalism

You could also hire someone to watch your MVs as a security guy. You know, someone who is out of work, or could use some spare cash or beers. You know, someone into MVs that cares about them, someone good at...ahem...taking care of problems and who is...uh...really good at dealing with people...

    Anyone know these guys

You could save even more if you buy a used truck and do the work yourself. Just a thought, we're all hobbyists here....
