Well, got the test bench, well ok it's the dinner table, set up the other day to test a few PRC-25 and PRC-77 radios that customers wanted me to realign and test out, make sure they were good functioning radios. I have all the tools needed to test these out, but it is a complicated process that...
When I post pictures to the forums, it doesn't matter the size of the pic, the site seems to resize and make it more manageable. However, when I upload a pic in the classifieds, it kicks it back and says the pic is too big. Can we get the resizing feature for the classifieds too, please?
Ditto what CARNAC said. They are much useful in this age when there could be the potential for signal triangulation, and the enemy possibly using heavy artillery to wipe your grid square off the map. They can actually be used up to 2 miles from the CP using standard 2-wire commo field wire...
I'm sure there are a few M211 owners here who can use some odds and ends in parts. Buy it, save the parts you can, and junk the rest.
Some off-roaders might be happy with the axles, all else fails....
Someone put a bathtub on four spare tire donuts. There's a word I'm thinking of when I look at this idea. It's three letters long, starts with G and rhymes with RAY.
Trucks I have owned that I named:
M725 ambulance - Gumby (it was bright green)
M35A2 - Jayne
M35A2 - Smokey (take a guess why)
M35A2 - Rusty (another guess please)
M35A2 - Princess (too nice to use)
LMTV - Bitsa (rollover wreck, bitsa this and bitsa that)
I have owned other trucks as well...
Another vote for the geared lug wrench. Most times it works wonders. After that, a 1" impact should knock it off. If neither of them do the trick, THEN the hot wrench.
I'd start at $1000 on that truck and go from there. It's worth it easily in parts, worst case scenario. I doubt the junkman can get that for its carcass.
Welcome to the disease.
There are lots of offroaders that run Mogs without a bed, or no bed and a spare tire bolted where it was. I think the chances are good it finds a new home this time.
Does anyone have any pics that were taken of the below-ground magazine and launch areas, whether they are original pics from when the sites were active, or recent when someone ventured down into the remains of the Nike sites?
