Wondering if anyone has ever gone to the trouble to install a big truck air ride suspension on their deuce. This would be the black balloon-looking air bags that are used on big rigs above the main springpacks to soften the ride.
Can't quite tell, but the last pic looks like a variation of the box seat, but with a tube frame. Can you get some other pics of it?
Also keep an eye out for HEMTT seats. They obviously are not original, but they can easily be found in the hundreds of HEMTT cabs that have been auctioned off...
My guess: looks to be that those are components that should have "NO STEP" stenciled on them. Perhaps the operator spray painted them yellow to prevent some klutz from stepping somewhere he shouldn't when the hood is up.
Sounds like the air cleaner indicator. If it shows yellow or red, the air flow is restricted by a dirty air cleaner element. Time to change the air filter!
Top speed for me is told by the rpms, not the speed. Most figure top speed is around 2500 rpm, just below redline, about 55-57 mph. I keep mine around 2300 rpm, around 52 mph, just for the sake of keeping the stress on the engine a little lower. I'm only going to lose a few minutes on a trip...
It's not heavy. The M105 trailer is 2440 pounds empty. The M332 ammo trailer is 2800 pounds empty - not that much more. It tows like pulling a jeep behind you, you don't even know it's back there.
