Perhaps 54reo, you could send the M105 trailer up to Haspin in June, and he can come down to pick it up there. Kinda a half-way point. Laurel, IN is the location.
Daniel got a ton last go-around. I'll tell you one thing, they have sure been getting rid of a lot of brand new HEMTT rims, made in 2007. Anyone know why? Seems like a waste, from a DoD point of view.
I know Soni's fantastic builds have been featured here before, but I found some pictures on fourwheeler.com that weren't shared here yet. It's a great build for those who love large MVs...
It started out life as a M920 tractor, he put an S-250 shelter on the back for a sleeper unit, and added...
I should add: GREAT JOB, MARK!
However, something should be said for the fact that 99.99999% of the jeeps out there were sold new without a winch - if you get a jeep stuck, you probably shouldn't be offroading where you are.
I would imagine that you can engage it while the engine is running, and there is a clutch in it. If it required the engine stop before engaging, I would think the winch would be very erratic and under lots of stress upon startup. The starter is under enough stress while it's trying to turn...
Big truck to tick the Prius drivers off. Just the fact you're getting 5 miles a gallon will make the enviro-weenies' blood boil.
Reminds me of this one I saw on eBay. The SUVs are getting bigger....
Eddie, I think that will be a good idea, as long as we can get enough people together who are hungry! :-D
The mud pits look very promising, a couple trips through it with a large truck spinning it's tires and it will be a mushy mess! I think the fact that the Lodge has a water truck that...
I just noticed on their website that the price of 3/4-ton trailers has dropped 50% to $500. He has a bunch of M101 series trailers, some with antenna mast racks and other accessories like side racks, bows, etc.
The torchmen seem bored and are cutting things up indiscriminately, so if you have...
Will begin a reference for those out there who need to know how high the lunette is on the front of common trailers, in order to help out with the recovery of surplus trailers when they pick them up, or just for basic transport reference.
M100 1/4 ton - 23 to 26 inches
M416 1/4 ton - 23 to 26...
Last time I was at TNJ Murray, he still had a bunch of used GI 7.00x16 tires that were on the M151s of his when he cut them up. The tires/rims are still there, and are cheap, but the best of them are still weather checked....
Awesome, seems like there are still a lot of folks who are going to use the convoy, despite the economy and the price of fuel. That's a big thumbs up for those dedicated MV drivers!
If it's bigger than his other 5-tons, then this might be a M139 bridge truck. They are still 5-ton, but a big wider and taller, used to carry floating bridge sections. Tires are 14.00x20.
It's too small to be a 10-ton.
Okay, I'm back. Will post details when I get some sleep, I'm exhausted. Sorry, no pics this time of the yard (pretty much everything that is there I showed pictures of in previous threads). I'll take a picture or two of my haul tomorrow.
