    Movie Star

That's a beautiful truck for having been used (and probably abused) by the movie industry. Very fresh paint on that too! Plan on dualling the rear wheels out, or leaving as is?

    Stupid Zone inspector

Absolute crap, and this in a so-called free country. Take him to court, sue his ass off. It is private property and you can have an inoperable non-plated vehicle painted whatever color on your own property if you want to. Start going by HIS house and take pictures of HIS crap and challenge...

All finished for now NEW PAINT

RE: Nice! Wow, that's pretty. All she needs is some white stars and hood markings, and she's good to go!

    POS made it to ebay?

Is the rear axle lengthened or is it just that the M105 trailer bed making the stock axles look wider than usual?

    HERES MINE

"Gumby" is already taken by a truck, but I think your truck qualifies for the name "Kermit". Obvious reasons. I look forward to seeing it all repainted and restored to her former glory!

    Driving the 8x8

Ha ha - I remember Aberdeen 2005 there was a man selling a M656/757 with the expandable van body for $4000 but he wanted to keep the tires for that price. For $8000 you can have it WITH the tires! Bet you'll never hear a used car salesman say that: "Well, we got a deal on this car, but you'll...

    Michelin XZL's on !

Bet the GI's from the 1950s would've wanted tires like that. Lots more traction over the standard NDTs. Great looking M37, BTW!

    M114 SWAT vehicle part2

Very cool looking M114. Lots of mods that make sense from a protective/defensive standpoint. Do you have a pic of all the M114s that you guys have that you have done mods to?

Another one comes back to life

The 548 has a lot of power for it's size. Remember that the powerpack is the same as on the M113, except the M113 has a lot of armor to carry around. The 548 doesn't have armor, so it's a bit lighter on its feet.

    Driving the 8x8

Very nice 8x8 - glad it's finally all come together, it's been a long time coming. Since it's such a rare beast, I bet you've had to learn about EVERYTHING mechanical on it, just to have it as reference in case a part had to be fixed/rebuilt/etc. What's the next project? ;)

    Dang it!

Man, he barely fits in that CJ2A of his, imagine what he will look like in that M422!

    Looked at an m38 today

It looks okay, but not $6K okay. I'd expect a little bit more for the money than what you're getting. If I was being fair to the seller, for a M38, a civvy Jeep, and a M100 trailer, maybe $4000 to $4500.

    I have this disease too..my M113

    leaky radiator caps

Before you sign off on the radiator cap being the problem, check to make sure that your overflow tube isn't clogged. If it is, the pressure buildup will force the coolant out the rad. cap, replacing the cap won't fix the problem. You can check the overflow tube with a wire coat hanger.

    Expansible Van Body Corroded Stuck!

I'm not real certain about the layout of the -292 body and how it opens, but hopefully I can interject a couple suggestions that make sense. Don't use WD40, it's great for squeeks and light duty stuff, but it evaporates fast and doesn't penetrate too well for the heavy duty stuff. Use...

    Combat Rims for M35s

The early deuces, back in the early 1950s, came with combat rims that were similar to the WWII style bolt together combat rims. They are hard to find now, and worth their weight in gold (well, almost). The A3 rims are just as expensive, meant for the the newest variants of the deuces, and are...

    2008 Haspin Rally Pics!

Trust me, it looks better than it is - it's just spray bombed, and it's over the rust bubbles. Just to make me feel better about what I'm driving. Color is Khaki, from True Value spray bomb section. I towed it with the windshield folded, but AFTER I lost the glass and the w/s was in the...

M151's, They are still out there!

That 718 just looks like it's in storage, awaiting disposal. Doubt it's used for anything except bee and/or wasp storage. It's a shame it can't get out and be given a good home, but such is the state of our governmental regulations re: surplus disposal.
