I understand Zout, getting people to invest in something they may or may not feel benefits them soon or directly is part of my work - every Sunday. Let's see if the Missouri folk will step up - I think they will and when they do the others guys are gonna have to keep up or get left behind:)
Okay, so I went to paypal and sent a donation again and I got to thinking, would the Mod's let us have a little friendly competition? Say maybe state to state (Ga. excepted?) All in fun of course and I would suggest just numbers of folk who donate, that way we don't need to know how much someone...
I think you have correctly stated that this is an ethics issue. Therefore whatever choice is made reflects the ethics of SS. Having said that, I would suggest we always promote the highest ethical behavior. I am in favor of the changes.
Welcome, do a search on recovery's and you will find tons (pun intended) of helpful information. Just about everything you can imagine or experience has been dealt with. Also, start reading the TM's so you are familiar with the particular truck. You are already WAY ahead since you are a mechanic!
This is, by all accounts a tragic situation but it is important to remember that suicide is not the product of a healthy mind and God does not punish us for being ill in the mind any more than he does for being ill in the stomach. One can not rationally understand the irrational, the best we can...
Good work rlltide12, I am not familiar with his truck. The 6.2 and 6.5 have a lot in common but even the IP's are different depending on the year. I think his runs a DB2 but I'm not even sure of that. Is his fuel pump an electric pump or a mechanical pump like the old gas pumps?
I am not familiar with the truck you are working on but follow the fuel line from the tank to the motor and you should find a lift pump between the two (probably on the frame rail) If not it is in the tank. The lift pump on my 6.5 is on the frame rail under the drivers door and looks like a...
I am sure that is what they meant but I bet they made it sound WAY more official than that. This is an amazing abuse of power. Wish there was something we could do to help you.
rlltide12, sounds like you know what you are doing as well. The TM will give him a step by step procedure though so it wouldn't hurt to give it a look. At least if can't be too complicated if it's trying to run. Assuming the filter is good (since he changed it recently) it is probably just a...
That's a good idea - I have a 6.5 that I went down this road with (non military) and a TM for that would have been great - plus - I am not a great mechanic so the only advice I can give is from personal experience. Happy to help but doghead's right.
I feel that brother! rlltide12 is helping you check fuel flow so if you can put the fuel line in an empty soda bottle and then cycle the key you can see how much flows out in say ten seconds. If you have a decent amount of fuel you can discount the lift pump, tank, line etc. If you don't you...
Yep, sounds like a fuel issue now. Start with filters. I would also put some FPPF in the tank to clear any water. If it ran and is trying to start it is probably nothing more than a clogged filter.
