The stake hole is 2"x1.5" and probably is a channel while in the pocket. Can't say for sure as I have never seen a set.

I copied Harley except I used a longer channel. Used the bottom hole for the original safety chains and spacers :)

I swapped the mil lights for new LEDs. Used the existing mounts and with 30" tires they are plenty visible and tucked out of the way.

These are not the normal type of tilt bed. Check YouTube for some videos of them in operation.

It will still have the ability to tilt but you need to lock the hand brakes to get it to dump. I guess you could just chock the wheels. Again, no expert but from what I have read here, these trailers are not really meant for repeated dumping of heavy loads.

Anyone know of a source for stakes that fit in the pockets of an M101A3? Right now, the best option I am looking at is buying some 2x2 square tubing and removing 1/2" to give a channel that fits. I want to build a lumber type rack that slips inside the pockets, ideally they would be ~3'...

Took it to a scale.... 1260 lbs empty. Didn't shave off as much weight as I expected.
