The stock pins and cables were a no go in my book. At highway speeds the chains would beat up the trailer and slowly work the pins out. Of course there was no option for holding the tailgate level.

Most of the work was done in my drive and the neighbors enjoyed watching and seeing the progress. Once it is complete I will probably park it on the street so all of the curious people can take a closer look.

What do you need the serial number for? You don't need one to get a plate for it.
How does that CRV pull it? How is the receiver mounted to the CRV. We have one and I have been wanting to add a hitch (non plans to pull my 101 with it though :))
Made a little more progress.
Took 14 cans to paint everything I could reach with a rattle can. Flat black is a very forgiving paint :)
Hopefully I will finish the rack this week. Plan is to make it pretty modular so I can add/swap out side panel. For now, I mostly want it for supporting...
Well, finally got around to making the 4 stakes I wanted. Material used was .120 wall 2"x2" tubing. Hopefully I will finish the "bow" parts this week. Took one razor disk per stake and a lot longer than I expected it would to cut and fit each stake. I am glad I went with the .120 wall over...
