Day 5: Snowing out pretty bad, got on the interstate, conditions got alot worse. Lots of cars in ditches. Snow and ice everywhere. We were going around 30 MPH or slower for around 5 hrs. Right before we got out of IL the snowing stopped and we managed to start getting onto clear roads and raise...

Day 3: Actual temp was -5. Truck took a bit to start, bottle of windex and all fluids in cab were frozen solid. Not even sure what the windchill brought the temp down to. Lots of snow/ice on the ground. made it to Stockdale, MI and spent the next 3-4 hrs trying to find the chain and binders to...

Day 1: Me and my 7 year old daughter left San Antonio, TX around 8am. Stopped in Temple, TX to pick up a couple tires for delivery to an SSer in MI and a hardtop to install on Fuzzytoasters M813 to cut down on the cold. Then continued thru to just east of Little Rock, AR to spend the night...

Not the best of days. Started snowing when we hit MO. Not a fan of snow. But once the cars cleared off the road around 8p it was smooth sailing...until I went through Indianapolis and the chain storage box broke open on the freeway. I lost 3, 1/2in chains and 2, 1/2in load binders. State trooper...

Made it to Lonoke, AR today. No issues. 617 miles so far. I have averaged 5.7mpg, not to good but that is to be expected pulling the M872. Hopefully with a load it won't get to much worse, lol right. Going to try and get within 100mi of Stockbridge, MI tomorrow.

    M915A1 cost

I bought mine for 5k after fees and taxes. It has new tires and needed a jump as it had been sitting awhile. 12k soundz about right for a dealer but if you have the time I would look on GL or even in the classifieds on SS. I know a member was selling his for a bit less (I think it came with a...

The M872A1 Deck height is 55in. So 4' 7" and just slightly higher Tat the top. I am hoping to not go over 13ft, so we will se what I will have to dismantle. I will have to drop the stack and cargo cover and once I get some measurements will determine if I need to take apart cab as well. Having...

Purchased a 5.5k generator to run a small heater in the M813 the other SSer is driving back. A little overkill, but I needed one to run my air compressor when I am working in the storage lot. I figure on putting gen. in the cargo bed, towards the rear so as to have no issues with the exhaust. I...

Yes sir, I sold her last weekend. And part of that money went into getting this M813 that was a smoking deal. Figured I was tired of saving money on fuel by running WMO and would rather get 5-6mpg than 10. Lol. I do like the power steering though, that is a life saver.
