Is there anyone here making biodiesel? I've really been looking into the process but it seems tricky and a little dangerous, I mean stuff needs measured and chemicals need mixed etc etc etc. Or am I looking to far into it? I know the deuce will run on straight veggie oil as will many other...
They have m37 which look like little baby deuces! And then there are 5 tons. That's two of the alternatives ;-)
Remember, a bobbed deuce will have a smaller turning radius, i would imaging making it a little more trail friendly. A regular deuce with super singles just looks bad a$$ in my...
Very nice!! Just make sure when you buy your hose and adapter it's the same threads. Our fire Dept uses all national standard hose thread. But there are threads such as 6 thread, 8 thread, and some other weird ones.
Just throwing it out there. Don't wanna see ya get screwed with multiple...
Sorry for bringing up such an old thread but is a spindle socket needed?( I don't even know what that is:oops:) Or can I use a regular socket? I have access to a 1inch socket set. I just wanna make sure I got all the right tools before I have the deuce taking up a bay at the firehouse and the...
I have a non-turbo and it has plenty of power... Now I've never drove a turbo'd truck yet so I can't compare.
OP. Go ahead and get one! I promise you'll love it. The systems really aren't tricky to work on if your familiar with vehicles. Everything is just ALOT bigger :) and like it's been said...
Yes, he has a bunch more and said he gets them on a regular basis. If you would like, tomorrow I can get his contact info to you. I don't have it with me right this moment. They come from a food company, but they need cleaned. The two we got (my chief got one and I got one) had molasses in them...
Thanks, The setup i am working on will only require a pump for loading it into the truck and then filtering, I am actually working off a Ledge type setup so once i have a full tote, i back my truck up, connect the hose to the one in my truck and put it through the opening on the storage tote...
Thanks. I didn't even think about that detail haha
aua aua aua aua aua
And thanks guys, maybe instead of pushing the truck to it's limits, I'll use this as an excuse to get a 2 ton trailer!! I'm thinking a trailer I really wouldn't have weight issues, just maybe swaying...
Well today I found a guy here in my town selling them big IBC Totes! I went and bought one. Well $40 later I had it back at the fire house and was pondering some stuff. Obviously they aren't baffled, so there is alot of "slosh" room. Has anyone ever had problems going down the highway and them...
Whenever mine act up I put my finger on the exhaust tube for a few seconds, for some reason that pressure build up helps them run smoother...
My problem is, toget the driver one to function the valve has to be open very far, causing the passenger side one to move at a very fast rate....
Our Sutphen fire engine has one them there levers! It's big n red and I was told never to pull it unless it's truly needed. I guess it's hard to reset?? I didnt know it closed the air intake! Thanks
And sorry to hear bout ur truck, that sucks, I think I woulda cried....
Well since my temp gauge wasnt functioning i decided to add one. The guage was about $15 (advanced Auto) and about an hour of work to install. I had to make a bit of an adapter because the "probe" thing that goes into the coolant was to long... I opted to put in a Tee for adding a new stock...
