Help me figure out what this trailer is

Looks like it's in photo 3. Also looks like someone welded plates over and under the pintal to turn it into a ball hitch?

Jeep Seat & Bench for M35

Thanks. I didn't say that fast stop would be planned, or on purpose ;)

Jeep Seat & Bench for M35

I have to ask, what keeps the seat from tipping forward in a, . . . lets say a fast stop?

About to start work on our Deuce

Don't brake down a hill! Put it in a low enough gear and drive it down hill! Counting on Brakes with these trucks is Not the way. When Tuff was first driving the 109 off -road, she did a climb over a ridge ( you know, the kind that you can't see anything down the other side until you tip over...

    My M796 Work Trailer/Camper Build

I'm guessing the M1061 would have the same set up. It seems to be the only other trailer that I've found that shares some things w/ the M796's, like the wheels. Sometimes I have to wonder what it is that has me getting things that are much less common :-/

    bobbing mah deuce

Thanks, but no. The one on the She Beast keeps evolving, and I'm going to cage mine plus some kind of sleeper. Did you cut it, or did you remove it from the lift points? With all that speeded up it seems like you could be out and about next year. But now you'll have to pay to feed your Mech ;)

    bobbing mah deuce

:ditto: I've been waiting for you to get that rig out there so that we could do some trips together, . . . and make fun of you for how long it was taking ;) It'll be interesting to see how much you over-engineer this one

    My M796 Work Trailer/Camper Build

Trailboss - That's excellent! Thank you. It def looks like the air chambers are not the same as what's on the M105 :( Do you know if the MC's are the same, or if this combo is used on any other trailers? I also see the plate that's missing for the rear MC. That shouldn't be a prob, I could have...

    My M796 Work Trailer/Camper Build

Thanks, but not really. I have the TM's and know where they go, just would like a photo of the little details. It seems like I'm missing a bracket or something. I have a couple MC's that I might rebuild, or pull some off an other trailer, . . . or buy some, . . . we'll see. It also seems like I...

    My M796 Work Trailer/Camper Build

I could really use a photo of the brake master cylinders placement. Like from above w/ the floor plate opened. This one has none and I don't seem to find an image in the TM. Thanks for any help on this.

    My M796 Work Trailer/Camper Build

Back from summer travels, Just so that everyone knows, the 37" radial hmmw tires do NOT fit, the 36" B-ply will (at least that's what others say, I'm still looking for some).

    Driving through Central America

There are some things that we don't know about that, 1) that "expat" could still be a US citizen, . . . I do know people that consider themselves "expat" and still have US or UK citizenship. 2) and (if that person is still a citizen) if he did the same thing that we do when we are...

    Something concerning in the TM

Not in the last 4 years. The tube of the mushroom has a cut in it that lets you squeeze it tight enough to hold on. It doesn't take much pressure to keep it there. It's held on for the last 4 years while we are out doing our Dirt Track Travels, so it's seen WAY MORE vibration than it would have...

    Something concerning in the TM

I do know about that other port and have blocked it being that I'm not using a fording kit and don't want critters moving in. I'm also NOT saying that it's the only option, or that it is the only thing that I might do, but it is WHY I have the mushroom un-clamped. Like Gimpy says dumping the...

    Something concerning in the TM

That's part of the reason I don't clamp the mushroom on. I can just pull it off and plug the air intake.

    Driving through Central America

Seems like you did it right ;) I've spent many winters down south. Been down that route and back loads of times using mass transit and cheap rooms. Have friends in Costa and Pana. You really have me rethinking what I'm doing this winter ;) Enjoy!

M109 She Beast is down - Fuel System Failure

The fuse was good, could hear it running, and the bottoms can't fall off ours. I guess it's the physics that I don't get. If the fuel in the filters is pulled from the top, how can it drain half the can? Doesn't seem like it could suction it up. And we weren't able get it running in the...
