PB Thats one of the reasons I posted. I was hoping some of the guys with previous experience would know what else I would need and the NAPA part #s.
I thought about selling, But as blood and sweat as I have put into this truck, changing out engines, head gaskets, and everything else I would...
Ok, this can fit in a couple areas but I will put it here for now. I am moving/PCSing to Las Vegas from Ft. Benning in May. I am driving my M35A2 with the M105 in the bed and towing my M1009. (same thing I did when I PCSed from Ft. Bragg, NC to here).
I plan on doing the repairs in Jan/Feb and...
Where does everybody have the fire extingusher and decon. canister mounted in your M35? I have a soft top so it can't go on the top. how do you mount them? Thanks.
For the most part the Seabees and Air Farce use Civvy trucks/trailers (International etc.) adapted (painted) for military use to haul their dozers around.
When my wife was in the Seabees they used mostly D7's. (most of the military also uses D7's or larger. I believe the Seabees on Little Creek also had some D8/9R's also. The only place I have seen the military use smaller dozers was on Bragg. We had a couple D5's that they used to use for ABN ops.
Ok, do all dueces have the holes that you use to bolt the hard top to the cab or is that something that will have to be drilled if going from a soft to hard top? Thanks

I am trying to gather pictures of door markings (and any others) on Cucvs so i can figure out what i want to put on mine. It doesn't run so I am getting antsy and have stencils and spray paint, so I need to do something right? (and i can't fix it yet Since the IRS likes to take its time with my...
Thanks for the offer but i just found most of the cables and I have the side of bed mount that i just found. But thanks anyways. That and I don't really have anything to trade at this point.
So I have an opportunity to trade my leaky hard top for a like new soft top and hardware. I was looking at the top and it has a snap where it goes at the top corner of the front window frame, the hard top has a screw that goes the same place. Is this a big issue if I don't have the snap?
We had a couple old public address systems when I was with the 82nd Band. It was circa 1950's had never been used used and I swear the nomenclature was AN/TIQ 1 no joke. They were some heavy suckers to. I think they still have it sitting in a storage area upstairs.
It's not that hard. I did mine a couple of years ago but you have a trump card, I didn't know steelsoldiers existed and had no help or knowledge whatsoever on duece engines. It only took me 10 days at 3-4 hrs a day to pull 2 engines and combine them to make one good one of course I was too...
