So I installed a C turbo on my truck and I thought the turbo was supposed to start whistling as soon as the truck was started. But I don't hear the whistle until I step on the accelerator. Is it supposed to whistle on start up or is it just my imagination?
Wish I could have PB, but I had a previous engagment at an unspecified location;-)
Correct you were. Upon closer inspection the compresser right by the oil filters and block looks to be leaking. I have to get to that today and the rear valve cover was loose which I think may have caused the...
1 leak down , ? more to go. I found this panel on the side of the injector leaking from the top bolt hole, it needed to be tightened. For some reason the oil leak seems to have disappeared, but I know all that oil had to come from somewhere.
I have been putting it off til I had the time and the time is now here. When I put the "new" engine in my truck a few years ago I had a couple small fuel leaks from some of the lines going into the injector pump. Ididn't have time to fix it and it was in a bad spot so it has been leaking for a...
I believe there is. I have some oil/fuel leaks somewhere by the block and it will make it 10 times easier to track down the leak when the block is clean of all the oil on the side.
Another of my incessant questions. When singling out 9.00 x 20s on the rear do I use just the lug bolts or is there something else I should do also? It will only be for a short 25-30 mile trip. Any advice is welcomed. Thanks.
I drained my air tank when I got home from work today and when I walked out to close the valve I noticed a small puddle of oil under the tank. Anybody have any suggestions on what may cause oil to enter the air system?
Thanks.
the M1009 is quite a bit more than the allowable weight (1500 lbs I believe). And I can still use the M105 for cargo as it doesn't weigh all that much.
The old bumper had some accident damage and it needed replacing and when the two were next to each other the new one was slightly different (larger, bent differently)
I finally finished the install of the winch onto my truck. It took about 8 hrs over 3 days and I got the cable on last night. The PTO was the hardest thing to install. And it works great. Here are some pics. They aren't step by step cause I got to excited after the first few steps to take more pics.
Welcome to the site. I will be getting stationed in Vegas in July next year. Hopefully there are others in that area and we can hang out and tell lies...I mean war stories:-D.
