    Identify cooling system item

This is a GP auction yesterday. It caught my attention since it went for such a cheap price. I was shocked at how much gen's were going for yesterday BTW! But, going thru the pictures I saw this cooling system mod. Anyone know what it is??? Very interesting

    Load Bank?

You will see ".8 power factor", which is at 5k watts you still have another 20% to go, which depending on how you do the math, you can get up to 6250 watts out of it. I saw 25amps on each leg when I load test mine. Others have said they are able to squeeze a little more out of them. Of course...

    Oil Change on Reset motor

I am not getting a LOPL, just reading the gauge. The issue is I don't know if it already has the 100 hours on it. Would help if they put the original hours on the reset tag so we could determine that. I have enough diesel equipment to know dirty oil, this stuff looks nice and fresh, but a little...

    Oil Change on Reset motor

I have a motor in my 803 that has a reset tag that said 2.5 hours. That is all I can decipher. The oil looks clean, but I am having low oil pressure when hot. Probably 25-30LB on the gauge. I am going to hook up a manual gauge to verify the electric. But thinking I need to change the oil to a...

    Need 803 parts, crankshaft bolt.

Farmit, Funny you mention more work space, currently designing and planning an addition for this spring on the shop! Stopped working at 7 tonight after getting engine started. Had some issues initially with a dead short when I would turn the S1 on. Started to melt the cable going to the pre...

    Need 803 parts, crankshaft bolt.

I officially have a problem Just a continuation of the saga. I picked up an 813 yesterday to rob the engine out of. Was a unit that someone bought without doing research here and than posted here trying to resolve his issues. That didn't go so well shall we say! But, I have it, the engine...

    803a 24volt draw

Do a search, but the only real potential for a draw is thru the alternator. I think it is a bad diode. You should remove the negative battery cable and hook your DVM up to see what the actual amperage draw is.

    803 Gen Head output wires

Chris, You are absolutely correct. I should be all set. Thanks

    803 Gen Head output wires

I may be replacing my gen head. The one that was on my machine had black colored wires coming out of the head. The one I am looking at has white wires. Is there a difference and should I be concerned? The potential gen head may have had its output leads swapped around on TB3. Is there a way to...

    MEP-803A wiring into the home

Guy, Do you have any information on what type of meter you used that recorded usage? I have been on the inter webs looking and most systems seem very expensive. I would think in todays technology, there would be something that could be easily stored and either reviewed on meter or downloaded...

    MEP-803A wiring into the home

I am not sure this is helpful, but I feel there are a lot of "Handy" guys on here that will get this and use it. I have taken my electric panel cover off. I have a clamp on amprobe that I attach to each leg coming in. I then go(usually by myself!) and start to go back and forth from the panel to...

    Need 803 parts, crankshaft bolt.

803 engine removal So, another first! After much work, unscrewing of small screws, head scratching and throwing my hands up, I decided to just remove the gen head and the engine together. Once I saw that the head was only really connected by 12 wires and a quick disconnect connector, I decided...

    Need 803 parts, crankshaft bolt.

Thank you Gentlemen, I did find it with your help. I have printed the applicable pages out, have read it 232 times:roll:, and will take it out tomorrow with me to the set. I would like to just leave the gen head on the skid and pull the engine out. Not sure if that is possible. The TM mentions...

    Need 803 parts, crankshaft bolt.

Guy, can you please help me find that TM or whatever it is? I have spent the last hour looking at everything I could find and I don't speak military abbreviations. I have saved many docs relating to these units and I can't find anything close to either referencing what you posted or with that...

    MEP-803A Trailers

I respectfully disagree about moving it. I moved mine today to hook up to my truck alone. Easier with 2 people, but can be done.

Removing 803 Engine from Gen Head

Hello all. After discovering a crack in the cylinder wall of my engine, I now need to remove it to either replace or re-sleeve. I have searched here and the TM's and can't find anything definitive on removing the engine and then the generator head to separate the 2 pieces. Anyone have any leads...

    Need 803 parts, crankshaft bolt.

Happy than Sad! Short lived elation-I figured out a way to free up the motor. I was very excited and happy. Basically scoured old tractor forums. A suggestion of fabricating a flat plate and bolt it to the block with head bolts. I have a hydraulic mini ram, maybe an inch of travel. Rigged this...
