Speaking of wheel chocks, where do you store them while driving the deuce? Throw it in the back of the bed or hang them from a chain by the rear wheels like with a semi trailer?
Every thread I post in is automatically subscribed to and I get emails informing me of new posts. This is nice sometimes, but I don't want that for every thread I post in. Is there a way to set the default to not subscribe to a thread? I for the life of me can't find the settings for this.
I'm still deuceless, but I have been looking at trucks. I notice people using the start/stop handle differently. One guy pulls it out to shut off the truck and leaves it out until he's ready to restart it. Another guy stops the truck and then pushes the handle back back to start position, but...
Will anyone be near Johnston Iowa to inspect some deuces at Camp Dodge on March 6th? PM me please!
Also does anyone have storage facilities? I may need to leave a truck over there for a few weeks until I can arrange transport.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
If I may throw in my 2 cents,
As stated earlier in this thread, it is difficult to find local ads. It would be great if the classified ads would show in the title where the items are located. I'm looking to buy a deuce and check the classifieds daily. It's a pain to have to click each vehicle's...
Is anyone going to preview the vehicles at Camp Pendlton in California for the March 3, 2009 auction? I would like to talk to you. Please PM me. Thanks!
I low balled one of those A2Cs. It was a good learning experience overall, but yeah. They went for too much money. Figured if I got it cheap, there would be plenty of money for repairs.
Thanks for the info Datsun. I just don't think I have the guts to risk buying something with that much risk.
Sorry for the auction discussion MR. I didn't know the rules.
I'm eyeballing the deuces for sale on govliquidation. There are 4 of them at Fort Lewis. All of them say the engines do not turn over. Any idea if that's just due to bad batteries, or could the engines be seized?
Any ideas what my risks would be buying one from auction?
Update:
He called back and I checked out his trucks. Really like the one with the "D" motor. It drives great, minus the soft brakes and nonfunctional speedometer. Unfortunately the guy wouldn't even entertain offers on the truck and I didn't have enough to pay full price.
