Looking at M925a2 to buy, could use some pointers
I'm looking at this truck and before I go drive 8** miles. I was wondering what you guys thought. I noticed the back tires looked smaller, any input on this, maybe a bad drive train if so. Tell me what you guys think, I want to deal around 3k...
I would say we have a winner, good job heath. I saw it and was maybe thinking of a project after my crew cab, look very protective. And in todays world a little protection is nice.
Sounds like the good old Chevy's then. hot enough to cook an egg. Now a seat heater is quite ingenious I might have to do that, so simple I never thought about it. Yep between southerners, new drivers and women they keep our ditches nice and plump full up here!
That's true, I guess in the end its a matter of personal preference. The way I see it is if there were common problems with that set up, Case, New Holland, John Deere, Volvo, Eagle, Mack and Freightliner would have found a better way to tie them together. But like I said, to each his own.
Now that i think a little harder this is true. Only 2 of our tractors at the farm i work at have both high and low lines. That's about as simple and proof as I can think of too. One could easily do it in a day.
On the truck I picked up the guy took old mounts and a tank off another parts deuce. Then took the pioneer rack off and simply mounted. He may of had to drill new holes. He than was planning on tying the two together, I imagine putting a low and high fittings in the side of the tanks. This also...
Thanks caliber that gets me pointed in the right direction on what to llok for.
Dave would you not agree that this a3 is nicer inside and its probably also quieter and warmer, or cooler in summer. and I realize its a military truck loud and has crude interior, I've owned it long enough to...
I talked to my dad today and he took off the intake pipe. One internet cookie for caliber. The old oil apparently set-up in there causing it not to spin little WD-40 and she is whistling better than ever. Thank you. And dave that one went right over my head but makes sense now. haha
Update: We got the truck running, after thread reading I determined that the fuel shutoff was stuck in off position, turns out I was right. It was stuck very hard in the off postion hd to used a wrench to get her loose. I worked it back and forth while spraying lubricant and got it moving very...
Caliber, I think I will try that next time I go home. Oh and dave by "purr" I mean scream and by "like a cat" I mean banshee. Jut like how they normally sound
I know this is a dead thread but maybe a new posts will help it out. On my M342a2 I got my truck running strong yesterday, but my whistler doesn't whistle at all. I am 100% sure that it is in fact a c turbo after measurements and pictures. So does anyone know why this whistler wouldn't want to...
Sorry this took so long caliber, I was curious how to go from the sheet metal inside the cab to go to insulation, sound deadening and then that nice interior cloth that semis have. That is what Im hoping to accomplish for my truck a warm quiet nice interior.
How long does that oil last on the paint, I might try that next time I go into a car show or parade if it last. I don't like carc dry look but love her when she is wet.

The reason I posted more than one truck is because I spent about as much for all three as some people want for one. Sometimes...
Chaged filters and batteries on crew cab. Tried to start my crew cab. Found out starter needs work, hung up bushings. Also, tried to pulled start it, not even popping. Think the fuel shut off is stuck. I have fuel at the final and the in tank pump works. So thats what will be coming up to work on
With the duals they will be tied together and I plan on keeping the fuel system the same( to just draw from the pass. side tank). I am looking at about 172 gallons in total.and close to $700 fill her up. Yep that will be a sad day.
Which speaking of the fuel system brings me to my next...
