Hi folks,
Thanks for all the responses.
You all are the best. [thumbzup]
As for driving it? You bet your life I'll be driving that thing.
I've got the civvy wiper conversion coming this afternoon from a local store so I won't be skeered of wet weather.
As for the wife, I think she's...
Thanks, everyone!
Oh how I love this site!
When the big green truck is mentioned, the first thing my daughter says is, "dad's taking me to school in it sometime!". That's my girl. ;-)
That hitch will definitely get some attention.
The previous owner used it for pulling parade floats.
I'm...
Hello all,
I've owned several Jeeps in the past and have always wanted a Deuce since I was a wee lad.
I finally actively started searching for one a few months ago.
Drove 800 miles round trip to look at one a few weeks ago but it didn't work out.
The one I bought ended up being within 20...
I stand corrected.......
For what it's worth, Wikipedia says Ebay has a 25% stake in Craigslist.
Since 2004, as a matter of fact.
They haven't changed the mode of operation of Craigslist yet and that's a good thing.
Very interesting!
So the ring resting against the filter in the third from the bottom picture is a spacer you made so it'll fit onto the Deuce's housing neck OD?
If so, what is that spacer made of?
Thanks for the great pics!
I used those mufflers on an old Chevy 2 and a turbo Regal years ago.
Simple, compact, free flowing and enough to tell the officer, "yes, I do have mufflers".
So it's 100db in a C Turbo cab? Woo Hoo!
I knew it was LOUD but THAT is shocking.
I can't WAIT to see the "after...
Hello fellow Missouri MV owners!
I'd like someone to confirm, without a doubt, that Missouri does not require a CDL to operate a Deuce.
I'm 99% confident of it BUT.....have never heard it from a fellow Missouri resident.
My truck will be plated and insured as a regular vehicle, more than...
I just got off the phone with GMA.
Wow! NICE lady on the other end!
Super helpful and she quoted me in no time flat.
Seems Camo is the only color kept "in stock".
Green and tan have a 30 day lead time.
Around $180 plus $39 shipping to me for either green or camo.
Heck of a deal in my book...
Hi Kyle,
Thanks for the response.
Their site is a little peculiar to navigate.
I found flyers with their products but no specific color pics.
More than likely, being the newbie that I am, I wasn't looking in the right place.
Thanks.
You hit the nail on the head:
A complete brake system re-think would be in order for sure.
Disk brake kits are readily available.
BUT that old air-assist antique master cylinder demands attention.
Duramax's do make ignorant power for sure but an early Cummins would be simpler and easily...
With your creativity and ability, you're making a seriously "spartan and heavy duty" rig into a.......dare I say it.......liveable, cushy alternative to mega-dollar "cowboy Cadillac's"!
Being able to look at the M35, see the need, plan for the upgrade and execute it is nothing less than Chip...
