I'm not to worried about the difference. With a 5 pinion rear planetary gear, 6 pinion front planetary gear, 13 vane pump rotor and slide and over sized boost valve pump, hydraulic lock up kit, and a 10.5 inch lock up converter with a 3-1 torque multiplication ratio among other improvements that...
I have a trick up my sleeve to over come the gearing of the transfer case. I don't see my self towing any thing to heavy. mostly off road and daily driving duties. If it could get 15mpg city and 18-20 mpg highway, I would be overly happy.
The stock turbo is a Holset W1HE, possibly a HX40. If you wanted to stay single turbo, I would suggest a BatMo drop in compressor wheel (60mm size). This will replace your stock compressor wheel, flowing more air at less boost pressure. It also helps keep EGTs in check. Header wrap every thing...
Thank you for the reply. I'm going to look in to different converters and what they offer. I'm going to go threw the trans any way, so the out put shaft shouldn't be to big of an issue. How well does a stock 700R4 hold up behind the diesel? I do have plans for power improvement. Nothing major...
120 gallons of D2, 14 qrts of Amsoil full synthetic 15w-40, 23.5 qrts of Amsoil full synthetic Dex. VI, 4.24 qrts of Amsoil full synthetic 75w-90 in the rear differential, 2.25 qrts of 75w-90 Amsoil full synthetic in the front differential, 32 qrts of Evans NPG+ waterless coolant. Add in the...
The trans swap is going to need a new converter. Any one running a lock up converter? How did you get it to lock up? What about the shifting pattern, How did you change the gear position display to show the correct gear pattern?
Has any one also swapped in a NP205? How did you get the trans...
Right now, I could care-less if your a moderator or not. Have you had MY truck on a CAT certified scale? I'm pretty sure you haven't. With out a load, 9,704 lbs. YOU can take your BS else where. Now, I'm also sure that The weight of my civilian truck has nothing to do with this thread...
07' Chevy Silverado Duramax/Allison Crew Cab/Long Bed /Front Ranch hand bumper/grill guard/ Rear Ranch Hand bumper/ PPE Deep trans pan with remote mount cooler/ PPE deep oil pan with killer bee TD-EOC kit/ Mag-Hytec high capacity front and rear diff covers/ PPE oil centrifuge/ Engineer837...
Mine were Silver body shocks. The truck has a 6 inch suspension lift on 35 inch tires. It has a great ride, even for a truck that tips the scales close to 10,000 lbs with out me in it. I've hauled fully loaded cattle trailers on the goose hitch and the ride was pretty good. I have easily put on...
I find this interesting. My D-max truck has had Bilstein shocks on it from 07 through current. We have never had an issue with them, and I have put them through ****
27 as of this past July here. My wife will tell you that mentally, I'm about 13 with the memory of a flip flop. My body though, that's a different story. My doctor has literally told me that I have the knees of a 85-90 year old man! My back is messed up same as my shoulders. The army has a way...
So from my extensive reading, there is a possibility of gaining 1 inch from installing all new bushing? I plan to do this with grease-able bushings. Also installing a 3 inch lift with ODRs new custom leaf springs. I wouldn't mind a softer ride. Also adding ODR zero rates to relocate the axles...
I have a pretty good lead on a 1986 M1008 to buy. I'm currently looking at real modification for down the road. I would love to run the 37' HMWWV Baja claw tires on true HMWWV wheels, possibly with the run flat incents. What are some popular venders for suspension lifts? I've seen a lot about...
In Iraq I saw 10 of those Kobota RTVs in the Taji CRISP yard. Here in Afghanistan, I have only seen the Polaris ATVs. Most are sportsman 500s as previously described. But on some of the more "secret" FOBs I've been to, Polaris sportsman 800 diesels are running around. I don't know any thing more...
you know the over the road trucker that have onboard trackers so the main office can track the truck and the main office can message the truck driver? Its kin of like that, but for military use with other features and capabilities.
Here is my run down for insanity;
Starting with an optimizer 6500 block with Kennedy Diesel splayed main caps, 18.1:1 compression ratio and H beam connecting rods, all forged steel including the crank shaft. A Fluidampr will be mounted as well. ARP main and rod studs installed. The pistons...
