I could be wrong but doesn't that just mean it could drive up a 60 degree incline, if the base of the incline is gradual then it should be able to do that. Granted it couldn't just go up a real steep one. Here look at my crude drawing. This is what I am trying to say. :)

Do you have some more pictures of your alternator bracket. That seems llike an intersting idea. That and where did you mount the 12 v battery. I also presume that is an internally regualted alternator?

Just go buy an oil pressure sending unit hose kit they have at any O'Reillys, Vato Zone, Advanced Auto or wherever. They are right by the gauges for sale. They are only like 6 bucks and should have the plastic line, some ferals, and some fittings. Good luck.
