Btw they have 5 pictures on file of my truck. Front, Back, Interior, Side shot, Engine. I guess I will make a copy of my registration and take it to them and make them double check.

I could be talking out my butt, but I thought the FDC just regualted the rate of flow to the IP based on the viscosity of the fuel? What makes it multifuel is the design of the motor. Basically it can still run all the same fuels just not as efficiently. It will have the same fuel rate whether...
Thats what I told my guy. I said look at this. Its big. And its heavy. I then showed him the registration and the GVW and he said that is fine. Its under the 26,001 so I was good. ?

You know what you did is similar to what me and my best friend have been building for several years. We have a an 86 3/4 ton long bed. We put a 6bt with the VE pump (now p pump) in it. We put a built 518 tranny with manual valve body in it along with a 205 (soon to be doubler). It had a D60...
I paid 3500$ for mine. Mainly because it was the nicest one I have found in texas for a reasonable price and it was only 10 miles from my house. :) It is way nicer than some of the ones I have seen going for 4500$ I think the private party value has been about the same. At least here in Texas it...
I'm all for offroading so whatever you build I am sure it will be cool, but those tires will be too small for you so you should ummm send them to me :D Good luck and take lots of pics.

Well around here I don't have access to any other vehicles, so I am on my own to fabbing stuff. I do think I am going to try and build something for the windshield frame. My windshield already has some irrepairable cancer so I don't feel bad putting some screws in it. Hell there may be some...
Over loaded is one thing and shouldn't be done on public roads, puttin' down the road at 4 miles an hour on some back ass county road that isn't steep or windy is another and you shouldn't have any problem with it. I agree these things are way under rated, especially with the much higher load...
Like inboard of the turnsignal lights on the fender? Or inside the turnsignals bolted to the turnsignal guards? I think I got the rear figured out. Just need the front now. I also have to find the lights. Been browsing google and found some cheapos for around 20 bucks a pop. I don't know if they...
I did not know that about the A3 bumper. I did read all 50 pages of the Diablo build. Amazing. Those lights looked expensive and very appropriate for his build. I didn't really want to ditch the black out "head light" but I guess it may be an option. I could mount two lights on the grille under...
Like cut a circular hole in the bumper and then weld a tab on the back to bolt it to? I thought about that, but I was afraid that would weaken the structural integrity of an already weak area of the bumper. I was thinking about on the windshield frames like they do on jeeps. I could easily make...
Hmm...where do you get those? What do they look like? I am thinking of just using some cheapo 10$ 24 volt tractor lights. The stock generator/alternator should be able to handle some lights easily right? Being the truck has little to no electronics on it?

I searched for some ideas and couldn't find anything. I am wanting to add some offroad style lights. I will be using this as an offroad rig/ recovery rig. I have been thinking of places to put the lights and can't get any ideas. I need some places that they won't get knocked off easily. I know I...
Great find. I wish that they were a little bit closer. I think I can get them closer for a little more money but probably make up the difference in fuel. I will have to check and see.

BTW, Fleetguard's extended life antifreeze, works good and comes with the proper additives already in it. Thats what I always used on our tractors, and all my diesel pickups.
