I think a powerstroke ford will do it but it will not even look safe to the police. I have seen full size bucket trucks on goose necks behind f250's and cummins trucks. At 65MPH too. But It looked ugly to me.
Took the deuce on a road trip to harbor freight to pick up ear muffs but remembered the napa muffler will be here tomorrow.
Saw some huge piles of snow to play in. I would of tried to climb one but didnt want to look like a fool stuck on the top bottomed out with no buddy to winch me out...
Ok, why didnt i think of that for the rear. ? Thank you. I do know a couple months ago there was a m105 trailer at GL in columbus Oh with some laying in the bed. Whoever buys that m105 gets a bonus.
Is it easy to get an axle cap or should I make some? Maybe even aluminum. I was going to pull an axle and need one. Or is it too easy to just buy one from a parting deuce? Thanks
I think the county plow driver sees the dueces in the yard and thinks "why bother plowing this road, Like he's gonna get stuck." And stretch, I think she's a keeper...... as long as she doesnt ask to use it on a girls night out with her friends.
I locked the brakes and pulled forward with the truck and locked the truck parking bake while under pull. Then got out and wacked it once on one side of the ring.
A torch helps too.
I cant bilieve anyone on this site would live in an HOA environment. We do not fit the profile . I figure i do not wany anyone to tell me what i can and cannot do on a daily basis.
I think the oil leaks and noise would be the next issue. I say maybe a VW rabbit diesel. with a straight...
I found if you are going to be the guy everyone comes to when thet are stuck, Best buy a good winch.
This milemarker(hydraulic) would pull out a deuce if you tie to a tree.
Welcome boxdoc. Im in galion. I take it you are not interested in having it hauled. May be cheaper in the long run. Day off work, tow bar cost, gas, food, hotel, Possible mechanical trouble? I can get you a quote from somone who is willing to pick it up at the base and bring it to you if...
I am heading to the yard this week to find springs for bobbing my deuce. Any Ideas what trucks or what spring and shackles to use? There is a couple very old gas deuces there, can I use the fronts? Thanks
Im in galion and have a very clean m35 for $4000 Come over and drive it right home before I get out the torch to bobb it. It does not have the winch but I will throw in a hydraulic winch you can install.
They put a bunch of money in it before selling it. (419) 834-1284
Run the exhaust underneeth and steel sound deadner from wrecker powerstroke trucks or dodge diesels. Look under the carpet of some diesel trucks. I have not tried this yet but its a good hunch.
Met a veteran the other dat and he said he used normal house insulation stuffed up in the...
Wow that is a sweet project. You have either alot of patience of just plain crazy. I gotta try that with my TT. This one has three trannys to shift , Its a job to drive it.
Good point RECOVERY, I was looking for the cummins badge while I drewed with anticipation....
Glad your wife is ok. My wife did the same trick to an 83 chevy. YES the ones that blow up. Ripped the tank wide open and not a spark. Very lucky .
Welcome, did you get your deuce in verginia. We buy there but the gas prices to drive from Ohio hurts the gl budget. Hope the truck is ok. Better get started on that sf97. Maybe your grandchildren can enjoy it when it finnaly arrives.
