Bought and paid for a trailer on 9/27/18. Picked up 10/5/18 and still no sf97. I've contacted GP several times but they are no help as usual. They just keep telling me to wait. Its been 101 calendar days and 62 business days. Wondering if I'm the only one. This will be my 5th sf97 and they've...
I was going to replace the rear axle bog bones with ones from a bridge truck to move the axle back an inch. Just to do something different. You might also have to address the drive shaft length
There is a new bride truck torque rod on ebay
The only problem with DEX III is that it starts to degrade over 200 degrees and it supposedly is burnt at 225. With the coolant trans cooler, and the coolant running near 200 most of the time while not moving....
DEX IV is suppose to handle heat better
vvwilkins, glad my video helped. I learned the hard way not to leave the bead lock compressed over night. It will stay compressed and not want to fit into the tire. I'm in San Dimas if you ever need any help.
Another great trip! My phone battery was dying so I didn't get many pics. Thanks again for all the help during the "indecent". I heard Devin's new name is Cliff. LOL
Sorry we had to leave so early and make a bunch of noise. I doubt anyone got any sleep with whoever was playing the loud music...
I am looking into 255/70/22.5 but they aren't as cheap as normal size trailer tires. Wes, when you load a 5 ton on the trailer, do you pull it in forward, or back it onto the trailer?
Steelreaper, the pump mods are pretty simple but you'll need a egt gauge. You're going to want to turn it up a...
Awesome. Thanks again. Now I need to look into finding smaller tires. 295/75 22.5 are still too tall and hit the outer frame. How do you haul a 5 ton and not be over 14ft tall? 255/70/22.5 might work

Picked up a M322 trailer and hooked up the glad hands with the truck not running. The primary and secondary air gauges showed 110 psi but very little air flow was coming out of the emergency glad hand. Started the truck and then had a lot of flow. The trailer air system has a few very small...
I'm putting rocks in my balloons this year to keep you guys from cheating... again...
My brother and I will be there Friday afternoon and need to leave early on Sunday morning.
Well that explains why I couldn't find any data lol. I bought the compression test kit because I have a Deutz engine in my bobcat that's smoking and I need to diagnose it. So far I have ruled out any faulty spark plugs
I searched and didn't see a lot of info about this so I will share what I know. While I had my injectors out I adjusted the valves and checked compression. I was going to use a old hollowed out injector but I bought the proper gauge set.
Cold engine, batteries fully charged, all the injectors...
I swapped the #1 injector with a good used one and it smoothed out. I haven't driven the truck yet but it idles smooth in neutral and in gear. All the temps on the exhaust manifold were the same.
I tried to blow through the bad injector nozzle and couldn't but could blow through a spare one...
I would change the hoses and o rings in the selector valve, but the problem didn't go away when I ran the truck on a 5 gal fuel can hook directly to the lift pump.
I changed the overflow valve with a known working unit, no change.
I checked all the ports on the exhaust manifold with a IR temp...
Went off-roading a few months ago and on an extreme angle I think sucked some air. The truck never died but sputtered for a while. The rest of the day it would intermittently
sputter again on angles. Drove it home with a slight lack of power due to the sputter. Came home, change the secondary...
Has anyone found a good alternative wheel and tire for these trailers? They use a 15.00 X 19.5 tire which is about 40" in diameter that are no longer available. It looks like a 19.5" dually setup might work.
BTW this if for the M989 trailer, NOT the M989A1
