Sorry I don't have much advice to offer. I just replaced my injectors and forgot to fully tighten an injector hold down clamp bolt. I could hear the compression leak and it got worse with a bigger load. Try the temp gun, swap an injector, verify valve lash and check to make sure the dead...
You can insert the tap into the tailstock, loosen the bed clamp and push the tailstock by hand. Once the threads engage the tailstock will feed on its own. Make sure there is a chamfer on the drilled hole
As you know, you'll never get a drill and bolt extractor in there to remove a broken bolt. My timing pin 2 bolt flange is broken so only one bolt holds it in place BUT it still functions property with only one bolt. You can always pull the #1 injector and use a coat hanger to check for TDC
There is a bronze type filter/ restrictor on the air inlet. I'm making some fan mods and wondered if I can eliminate it?I switched the filter to the outlet side that goes to the fan and a lot of air now comes out of the shutter stat air weep hole

The old manifold gaskets were original and there was a bit of pitted rust between the manifold and head flanges. Time, heat and moisture ate away at them. The upper bolts sit in a little trough and collect water, rust and eventually break off when you try to remove them.
I saw a picture that someone posted on fackbook a while ago but it wasn't a close up. Basically its a block thats taped with threads to connect the HEMTT wheel valve to the A2 hub.
I have a 16.00 on a HEMTT wheel with just the beadlock(no run flat) and the davit ins't reinforced but you can...
The HEMTT ctis wheel valve will not bolt up to your hub, you will have to make an adapter fitting out of a block of aluminum or something. Also, the ctis wheel valve sheet metal protection plates will not bolt onto the HEMTT wheel due to the 16 wheel studs vs the 10 on a 5 ton combat wheel. A...
Blew an exhaust gasket. I guess it didnt like 36psi of boost and its old age. 6 of the 12 manifold bolts broke off in the head and I has to weld a nut to them to get them all out. While the manifold is out I surfaced it on my mill. She's flat now
Big Block, I can't tell for certain but it looks like you have NPT to JIC(or AN) fitting coming out of that filter housing then going to brass NPT fittings. JIC and NPT fittings aren't meant to thjread into each other
I recently found bacteria in the fuel of my skidsteer. I went and got some biocide but wonder if it's worth draining the 20gal out of the tank and replacing it with fresh fuel. Does it hurt to run contaminated but treated diesel?

I ran 20% wmo and 80% diesel in my 8.3 and the injectors coked up quickly. The tips of the injectors had build up and it interfered with the spray pattern. EGT's were high and it would smoke at idle.
Looks like I am not going to make it. I have to work Friday and Sunday and I just blew an exhaust manifold gasket on the 5 ton. I guess 36psi boost was too much
Funny. I drove my truck 450 miles total in two days and a friend of mine called me iron man for that "journey". Wes does 450 miles to warm the motor up
After being harassed  by Prospector GM, I have made arrangements to go. I might only be able to come up for a day trip but I will work out the details soon. I should have a M105 bed on my truck by then, no more tractor
Just got back from a 450 mile trip to Pismo beach
