Posted earlier about needing a j pipe for the deuce. I really didn't want to spend the $$$ on Saturn's spiffy SS set up. I emailed all the likely suppliers and Jay from Saturn replied he had ONE NOS pipe in stock. I ordered it and a few small items Tuesday and the stuff was delivered today...

Do you have a tow bar for the front of the deuce? If not I MAY be able to borrow a fabbed one, or show you how to fab one up out of angle...of course then you'd need a suitable hitch on the bus. You don't HAVE to connect to the deuce's air to tow...remember it just an air over hydraulic...

I talked to Roger for quite a while today and asked him if he sold any trucks recently to FL....didn't....did sell 2 to one guy in SC (or maybe he said NC).

ALL of the old 2 stroke Detroits are supercharged.....but not really in the way most people now think. Thwy used the supercharger for exhaust scavenging. I put a million miles + on 2 stroke Detroits and love those old engines. Did you know they will run backwards? let the truck roll...

A friend suggested fabricating free spinners from galvanized garbage can lids for our deuce :lol: I think neon ground effects lighting would top it all off :-) Wonder if "Pimp My Ride" would be interested in tricking out a deuce? :p

This was a fairly sudden loss of power, rough running, missing condition, so short of sucking up a seagull I don't see how a air cleaner restriction could happen in that time frame. It ran 100% up until then. We checked the filter and blew it out while we were changing fuel filters anyway.

Sorry, but $250 for that piece of SS is not worth it to me. It is nice, but not $250 nice.

Thanks! I knew the injection pump was Bosch and thought the injectors were also. It's cold as hell and the wind is howling out there, so dunno if that project will get accomplished today.

THey are Bosch injecotors, correct?

Need to replace the j pipe on the new to us deuce. LDT 465 Saturn has the sweet looking Stainless Steel systems - but I don't want to spend $250 on a j pipe. Who has the best deal on OEM pipes?
