Nothing worng at all....just wanted to say there is another way to go about it.
I have used the method I mentioned on several pieces of heavy equipment and never really had a problem....but I also replace my batteries every 2 years regardless.
Am going to change our prinmary tonight, have read the manual and the relevant posts.
Do most of you actually remove the housing base from the mounting bracket as instructed in the manual or just flip the alternator out of the way and remove the single nut that holds housing on?
Is there room...
He will turn 16 this fall, and that will be his school wheels.
We live in a country type setting, and the school is really small, so there should be zero problem.
If they raise any stink at all ....I went to high school with most of the idiot teachers and board members there.....I'll kick their...
Thanks for the complements.
I know Roger sold a bazillion tops and bow sets on ebay a while back, dunno how many he has stashed.
I'm gonna send Roger a link to this site and an invite, and will ask him about a winch chain when I talk to him.
One thing I forgot to mention....
Roger gave me a ring binder with all the manuals on CD, and the Multifuel engine manaul and chassis / engine lubrication information all printed out and ready to go!
Well, it's home and in the driveway now....pics in members rides.....pretty uneventful trip.
Once I got home we took it for a spin and it began missing really bad and lost power.
The fuel looks like pureed pumpkins so I will drain and change all the filters tomorrow.
Brought it home today.
1970 Kaiser M35A2 w/o winch soft top Multifuel turbo
Bought it from Roger ...."Red Star Aviation"...he has all those MV's at US40 & 42 just off I70 near London OH...his # is 937-429-7758.
Great guy!
I can HIGHLY recommend him as a source for MV and parts......friendly...
I'll keep that in mind.
Been to Brooklet GA many times...and oddly enough we are moving to the Brooklet/Metter/ Statesboro, etc area ( somewhere in that vicinity) in a little over3 years...as soon as our son (BajaPower) graduates from High School.
One thing to keep in the back of your mind with any vehicle with an in tank pump (most of the ones on the road anymore) is you shouldn't let the tank run low and especially don't run it low a lot.
The in tank pumps are cooled by the fuel in the tank and the lower volume causes them to run hotter...
I wouldn't mind jumping up to a 5 ton someday (among other things, power steering would be nice :) ) but any thoughts I once had of owning a DOD lineage HUMVEE or most other veterans just isn't there.
The Dodge Powerwagons, Blazers and such are way too close to the civilian model - and I never...
With our new duece coming home tomorrow, I armed myself with the GREAT info posted here on filters and started my hunt.
Since it was posted that the Baldwin secondary filters fit perfect w/o screwing with anything I decided that was the brand to get if I could.
I really couldn't see messing...
I was really hoping he had a ring mount laying around....I built an M2 dummy (out of wood and pipe) for BajaPower many moons ago and wanted to have the option of sticking it up there. The dummy looks pretty good from 25' away.
Roger has tons of stuff, but no mounts.
If anyone needs any oddball...
Well.....mostly.
Gave Roger a deposit (all my hidden mad $$ in my wallet  ) , shook hands and we have a deal.
I am not gonna pick it up (and give hime the balance) till Wednesday. Tomorrow he is gonna drain the fuel filters, check the brakes, replace a broken fuel shut off cable, and...
My son sold his quad (pending a few details and delivery to St Louis Sunday), so now he's good to go on his M35 purchase this week, so with any luck we will soon be the proud owners of a 1970 AM General.
If anyone has any peculular wants or needs let me know and I will ask the seller. He...
I am a Fram nonbeliver also.
I had a Fram oil filter split and dump 5 quarts of oil on the highway in a nearly new car.
If they came with a free $100 bill they would be overpriced.
My daily rides:
Y2K Ford F250 7.3 PSD 4x4 Crew Cab Longbed (lots of performance mods)
and most of the summer:
1994 Baja 22 Caliber TC 5.7 (even more mods)
