M1009 running and driving from Miami Florida To Arizona or Close
Would rather not drive this that far but...... Miami to Texas or New Mexico or any place in AZ I would be good with.
I also have a 5 ton in Dayton that we could but this in the bed of. So there could be an off chance that Miami...
Yes I have used the PRC68 site for years to figure out items I have come up with.
OK so would it be good to get the AM-7238B amp Murphy has to bost the output? Pricey but maybe something I should look for?
I have plenty of different antenna sets and bases and I do have the AS-1729
Not sure...
I have been on the PRC68.com site but I am not understanding how it goes together & what can and cannot be used together. There are a lot of "I am going to try" and "this works" type of statements on the page.
I did not get a speaker.
First off I know more than most about military radios but...
Hello,
Trying to understand the set up for the vehicle mount for the PRC68 & PRC128 radios. I have the PR68 ( looking for a PRC128 ), and the mount, OF185. What else do I need? Cables, power supply, ???? Thanks!
The "For Sale" & especially "Wanted section" does not work.:???:
There is so much traffic (posts) that in a day or two your post is lost. When selling and most importantly buying, you want to ask people with the same mind set or vehicles.
Example the new radio section. Radio guys want to trade...
There were two other trucks for sale at the same time one looked to be just a M923 with the push button trans as the modification. The other M923 has X doors like a hummer and if you look close an armored windsheild (In my opinion). Also in the back ground of this truck is a M923A2 Armored truck...
I purchased one of the oddball M923s at Wright Patterson. Need to see If someone in the area can pick this up / tow, and store it. Would like someone with technical abilities to go through the truck and see if it can be started fairly easily. From there I would decide on shipping or driving it...
Looking for someone who is a regular buyer out of Lockbourne OH or lives close and would like to split lots.... Anyone? Is there a surplus dealer yard close by? Everyone I knew does not really buy the new stuff.
It came with the few civilian manuals and the CUCV II Supplement. Also a stack of about an inch of all the records from when the truck was transferred from Texas and all the repairs and related since. I will post some of that later.
Yes this is the Barstow truck. Actually came with ALL the paperwork. started life in TX then was transferred out to Nelis. (surpluses a Barstow go figure). Also a nice list of all deficiencies (some real some not so much) so they could justify dumping it. None of the paper work says anything...
I know there are a very few of you out there with these trucks. They cut the wires off the batteries and some other items. Could use some help trying to figure out whats missing and what goes where...:-?
thanks for the luck 2cents
I have quotes now for $1050 and 1200 but looking for someone looking to pay there fuel and make some extra$ not someone doing this for a living.
Have an M151 I need moved from Phoenix AZ to Minneapolis Minnesota. Needs to be an enclosed trailer or some way it will not get beat on a cross county treck. Need this done ASAP pay is along the line of 800 to 1000 depending. Ready to go to day.
What about the hood number? This is consistant with being USMC. The Body number indicates it is fairly late. The last contract for the USMC. Ken (mutt Guru) says these are 79 or 80 I think they are latter like 82 83 but??? The horn if original has a date as does the carb again if original.
