When you replace the small o ring on the shut off you need to leave the screws loose and the cover off. Then start the truck and slowly tighten them. If those are too tight the truck will either race way up or not start at all.

If the IP is 180 out of phase the motor will still start and run. But it will be rough and hardly idle unless you are on the throttle.

I use a jack stand and some blocks of wood. The jackstand has a nice V in it that works like a pivot for the lug bar and the blocks bring it to the right height. Works well for me. Except when I broke a lug wrench in half. Didn't even bounce on that one.
