I do wish that I had your problem.
The M135 starts, but I wish that I had the problem of 6 non-starting Hmmvs, Heck I'd put up with just 1 to swear at!
Different beasts, but that old M211 will steal your heart. They were light years ahead of their time.
And absoulute beotches at the same time.
different trucks, different flavours. They're both good!
The exact words that came to my mind, would have set off almost every politeness alarm on this site!
I live about 2 miles from the CN Rail yard, and have not seen an engine grenade yet. Seen many judgement errors which involved speed and lack of distance. Grain cars bend in really amazing ways!
Thanks again for posting Super Dave's M135. That is probably the finest example of that series of truck, and it's probably time for him to update his old thread. A lot of guys will be drooling over that one!
As for the farmer's storage area, we're still looking for a PTO and the control levers...
You will find that unless you have months of -40, you won't need the primer pump. Most of ours got bypassed. Put a bit of weight on the back and you'll be amazed at the way it handles in the white crap. I like the winch. Ours will get mounted this spring... when I tear myself away from the...
One thing that might make POL stops easier, is for each traveller to procure a Petro-Canada Fuel Card. They are one of the larger players up here, and they have card lock facilities for the truckers. Usually at a better rate than pump prices. Petro-Canada I have no affiliation with this company...
It looks like there is a fair amount of interest from our Legion (RCL118 North Vancouver), and we will try to help as we can as a staging point. A BBQ and local assistance are what we are considering. One of my greatest helpers (who owns nothing green, and does not wish to..) Wayne Fritz, will...
Yes, we have HST which is GST and Provincial Sales tax wrapped up into one nice wallet crunch. The last that I knew, certain Foreign visitors could submit a GST rebate claim at the Canada Border Services Agency, on their way out of the country. There will be some hoops to jump through, but if...
As far as I know it now lives near the old Army Base in Chilliwhack, B.C.
It just doesn't drive very quickly, and most certainly not in any form of straight line.
I'll ask my buddy for updates on the wounded movie star.
If the Convoy will come near Vancouver, B.C., I will try to assist you, as I am able, from my side of the border. Feel free to PM me with local questions, and I'll try to do what I can.
Once the convoy route and timing are promulgated, we will have a much better idea as to what might be...
You had it up to the bumper in mud, ..... AND YOU COULDN'T GET SOLDIER "B" TO SHOOT VIDEO?
For Shame. You know how visually fixated that we are, and to us....That's Camo Porn!
nopics
Well, VIDEO!
Nope! it was an M135, which was owned by a good friend. After the jump, it was not capable of 35 MPH on the flat. He bought a replacement, and we bought that sweet one off of him when he down-sized!
If you ever up North of the border, stop in an have a look! Might even let you drive..... Maybe!
West Kelowna would be in the southern interior of British Columbia, Canada.
Real pretty country.
I should know, as I still have property in that very town!
In case you have not checked the exchange rates, our currencies are sitting at par, and have been for a while now.
Yes, we do accept $USD, it spends just like ours.
The big difference, is that our money is color coded for the benefit of people who aren't used Canadian Beer!
Here is the base unit. Navistar Defense
Our guys love them! Even comes with a cd player! Pics were posted here under MLVW replacement.

You might as well get out the camera, and give us the current $0.50 tour. There has been a bunch of interest in campers, modified shelters, M109 conversions..... It will give us things to think about, while it is still cold enough to not want to pull wrenches, and find ways to get fresh paint to...
Get NAPA to ship them to Blaine WA. Pop down for a pint, and pick up your parts. What you save on parts and the lower fuel cost, will pay for your pints!
Been there, done that.
All that you have to know, is, unless you have chains on all wheels,
or studded tires on said same, just stay home.
Snow can be dealt with.
Black Ice is just a way of cleaning the Gene Pool.
I don't care how well trained that you are,
that crap will really...
