The lines are so cheap I would replace them anyway if it was shifting hard. I tried to just diagnose mine and missed one split that was causing it to shift hard. I spent about $80 on a modulator valve and probably didn't need it. The thread is below...
My sending unit was bad after I tested it as per the -20. Now it works but bounces around really bad. Any ideas as to what I need to check. I did start by cleaning the spot where it ground near the tank on the frame but that didn't help.
I think what Ranchhopper was trying to say was that wether it be a Blazer OR a Sububan the sheet metal on a Blazer from 1981 is the same as the sheet metal on a 1991 Blazer. Likewise the sheet metal on a Suburban from '81 is the same as a '91.
I have a 1986 3/4 ton Suburban with the rear...
I may take the new one to a machine shop and see if they can make a new gear. I'm sure it's a real simple one to make. Just make it out of some much stronger steel. Then just press and rivet it all back together.
Ever since I got my M1009 I've had problems with the rear glass. First it didn't have any so I got it replaced. Then the regulator wasn't working right and kept skipping and not wanting to move the window up and down. So I ordered a new regulator from LMC Truck and installed it. At first it...
I saw this today and was going into Bass Pro shop. Since there was an open spot next to it I decided to make a little mini motor pool! Anyone recognize whose it is or is it someone on here?
OK I charged both batteries overnight and went and got a new multimeter since the testing ends on mine were starting to look bad. After charging the batteries, cleaning up the connections, and tightening the belt on the driver's side alternator I got:
Front Battery: 12.5
Rear Battery: 12.5...
 Ok went out and cleaned out the plugs and then I went ahead and switched out my glow plug control card since I knew the used one I had in there was no good. Well I got the plugs good and clean and picked out some of the crud with a pick. Then I let the lectra clean dry off and I...
The key was on when I tested the brown wires with the key in the on position.
The contacts were very very dirty and I just went to the local NAPA and got some lectra clean so I'll be going and cleaning those as soon as I get done typing this. The instrument was cleaned less than a year ago...
OK I pulled the plugs off today and here are the readings I got.
Red Wire Driver: 11.6
Red Wire Passenger: 24.3
Brown Wire Driver: 8.7
Brown Wire Passenger: 20.9
I also went ahead and tested the batteries. I got these readings when I tested positive to negative post.
Front Battery: 11.7...
OK sorry it's taken me so long to check and get back. I measured my wires and here is what I got.
Red wires with key off - Driver side: 12.5
Passenger side: 24.5
Brown wire with key on - Driver side: 3.5
Passenger...
I will be there. My wife will be at Maxwell Air Force Base for training so I won't have to worry about leaving her home alone and mad at me for leaving her alone. So where can we get directions and how much does it cost? Sorry if it's already in here but it's so many pages to sift through...
I know it seems simple but check your trans fluid again. I had the same problem so look at my old posts. I'm on my iPhone so it's hard to look up. Basically I put in the 5.5 qts but it turs out my torque convertor was dry so it took a lot more.
