17 Pounder from BC to SK Canada

I just had a pint with the past commanding officer of 6 Field Artilliery. You know that as soon as I forward this thread to him, my cell phone is going to be buzzing. Col. John Carter knows more about guns, than I ever knew about green vehicles!

Spotted a nice gasser in a museum

Here is a searchlight, owned by an SS member in Ontario, Canada. Just listen to that old beast!

    Work in Progress M35A3

Just great! Now I have to join the Fire Dept! That is a seriously mean truck. I hope that it serves you well. Just remember, that the junior crew member has to carry the video cam, we want to see that beast working for a living!

17 Pounder from BC to SK Canada

I'm a tanker, so I don't know field guns, but the little gun that sat in front of Legion #5 in Richmond, now lives on the front lawn of the White rock city hall. If I can remember, I'll snap a picture of it whem I'm down there on Friday. Otherwise, you'll have to wait a month, until I get back...

    Went fishing, Deuce Style.

Nope, that SOB would qualify for a "Push Me ... Pull You" I would love to know how they were using it!

    Chuck got a Deuce w/pics

Good score! I like the winter camo pattern hood ornament..... Meow. Use it well, and please fell free to brag about the truck.

    Pop-up hardtop trailer

Now... would that not be handy, on a deuce! That kind of thing has some warm weather possibilities. Not to mention a cool factor, which is out of this world. Expando Van on Steroids! Or at least with a civvy sized beer cooler!

    Scepter Military Fuel Can Spout

Try NAPA. They were able to get some of the Scepter products that I wanted, and didn't have to drive over to the plant. Way easier!

    disabled passenger

There are civvy portable steps available, for helping warehouse workers to get up to shelves. Some of them don't weigh much, and may work for your app. They are light enough for 1 person to put in the back of the truck. You will have to lash them to the side of the truck (for loading), just for...

    Weekend at Wreckeman's

With you lot, any thing is possible. Advisable???? BTW about your Turtle/ Roadkill recovery/ recipe, up here, we all packed Tobasco to kill the taste of our IMPs (Northern MRE). They still tasted like crap, but if you masked the taste well enough, you could eat it! Congrats on the sucessful...

I found a m1009 with a yellow light mounted on top...

We had a couple like that, up here for range control. Most likely, the light was added by the home unit, for some esoteric purpose. Who knows....

    M211 pricing

Yes, that's the video. I will try to get some more clips from the Canada Day parade. For once, I won't have to drive, so I can work the camera!

    M211 pricing

If you are creative, you can keep the tower and pull start lever. As for the Air pack, Yes you could drive it, BUT I would highly NOT recommend it! There is a reason why even these old air assist sytems have a low air warning buzzer... If you are in a wartime type crisis, the truck is designed...

    KaBOOOOM---and the M1009 is dead

I have a dumb question. What was the source of the spark, that caused your batteries to volcano? This might be worth looking in to. If not, just post new pics of the next incident.

    towing M818 backwards

Replace the front tow point and save yourself a whole bunch of hastle. It's going to have to be done sooner or later, so why not do it right the first time. It's not like the truck has to be recovered for battle, right now!

Clearance lights and fender turn signal indicators

Those are perfect for the side, however, without the big gasket built in, they would turn your cab into a portable shower. Grote has the proper roof clearance lamps. Just pop down to your local NAPA.
