    What was here???

Very similar, but much less fun after a few beers! One will find ways to get you stuck, and the other, if operated correctly may get you unstuck.... Unless the truck belongs to Frodo!

    buy from dealer or owner?

That is because they know the condition of the brakes! Seriously, Eastern , Idaho Motor Pool, and Boyce have a pretty fair reputation, and the experienc to back it. If you have a local buddy who knows these trucks, to help you, gamble on GL. Make sure that you preview it. The other...

    WARNING: People Running RED Lights

Great. Now we need a new forum... "Darwin Awards Applicants" I don't mind their self removal from the Gene Pool, but it really burns my bacon when thet try to take us with them!

500 mile recovery on WMO mix?

For a recovery, keep it as simple as possible. Once you have the beast home, play with it and find out what it likes, or at least will tolerate. Buy clean fuel from the pump, be over prepared and don't do anything stupid. The side of a distant highway is a really bad place to diagnose...

New owner of M35A3, How do I....

GET THE TM! Try to find someone local who was trained on this truck, you will save yourself so many hasstles, for the cost of a dinner and a few beer. Good luck with the new toy, and I can only say that I am GREEN with envy!

Yeah Cariboo6x6 has a fair inventory, but the prices are at least 3x stateside prices. he quoted me $14,500 for an M-35A2C W/W. When I get out to the compound, I'll see who has an export permit and is only dinging a service charge. Not highway robbery!

    My M54 was RED?

Up here, some trucks got seconded to Base Fire OPs. They were still on our DA holdings, but if they were required to respond to normal fires, they went Red, and had all of the noisy flashy bits installed. Range control typically kept theirs Green. I don't know about S.O.P. down south.

Here are 2 shots of the Big Green thing in the driveway. #1 is just after the Olympic Gold Medal Hockey game. My cheerleaders were louder than the air horn. #2 The beer keg is about to be replaced by a winch. Soon to come, air ride drivers seat, convoy rotator beacons, 24V MRE heater (gotta...

Sweet truck! MILITARY TRUCK FOR SALE http://www.steelsoldiers.com/early-deuce/10695-my-first-deuce.html This is a great example of a "Better than Factory Rebuild!" This sweet truck lives not to far away from you, and is an example of the high end of the scale. And he STOLE it. Good job Dave.

You need some one with a USA export liscence, and a customs broker. Call Idaho Motor Pool. They can do it, and arrange for you to walk your truck through customs. It won't be as cheap as GL, but as a non-USA citizen, this is one of the best routes. If you want to spend $3K and lawyers fees...

Come on in. Leave your wallet at the door...The big green bug will bite, and you can't have just one. Check out the cool toy that Super Dave has down in Onoway. Now that's a truck!

M135 project truck needs lotsa stuff...

The front fenders are flat in front, unlike the M-35 series. If you are driving fast in the mud, it flies forward and gunks up your windshield. Then you have to stop and scrape it off. That truck was optimized for use on Alberta roads!

PNW-2010-Second Annual Chehalis River Valley MV Convoy/Camp-Out

The local event that I had to commit to, may not get off of the drawing board, so I will still try to attend (Passport approval permitting). If worse comes to worse, If my papers arrive in time, I will try a daytrip.

    Electrical - SAFETY!

My dad got a really nasty acid bath, while jumpstarting the farm tractor. Sparks and hydrogen are a really mean thing. And yes, in moments of stupidity, I have preformed unintended Arc Welding, and ruined several favorite wrenches. I keep thinking that I might get smarter, as I get older...

M818....I'm trying a new way to put a bed on it...

Have you thought about putting some skirts under the box? It does not look right with all of the open air under the box. Just a thought.

    Daily driver?

Get a M-35-A3. Put a muffler on it and have a back up parking place if the locals are not into big green things.
