Thanks Peepaw I was afraid that would be the case. I will probably have to wait until Monday and call. I got the bracket from Apache Transmission Parts here in Houston for $5 with the machine screw. Unfortunately they are only open until noon on Saturday. I'm sure they will have the valve...
Yeah it looks like it is missing. Wasn't sure so I went and installed the vacuum modulator and the truck still does not move. So does anyone know the technical name so I can look it up at the auto parts store website? Or does anyone just know the part number for it? Is it part of the valve body?
Looking around on the net I think it's the vacuum modulator. Infact I'm sure it's the vacuum modulator. Can anyone give me the part number for one? All I have been able to find is the B&M Part number and the local guys can't find it in their catalog.
Edit to add: I found one by going on the...
Ok I found it. This is on the right (passenger) side of the trans. Not sure what they are as I'm no trans expert although whatever is missing it looks like it just screws into the side of the trans. Hopefully this is something I can get locally so i can drive it this weekend!
Ok I got my driveshaft today and got it in the truck as soon as I got home. Well I get in and start the truck up excited to take it for my first spin in this truck. Well it started right up (generator 2 light still on) and tried to put back out of the garage. NOTHING. Truck wouldn't move...
Rust in the common areas and also around the tailgate area. Check the vin and make sure it's a real CUCV and not a civi somebody modified. On old 4x4 trucks I get underneath them and look for signs of serious off roading. I know some is to be expected but I want to make sure it wasn't driven...
I too would advise either cutting it out or just replacing the body part if that's an option. For your cab of course that isn't. To deal with the rust at least immediately get some stuff called Enrust to treat the area for now. Also it's better to have the rust removed if when working on it...
Found a wire dangling from the frame right in front of my power steering pump on my M1009. I followed it back up and it just goes to this rubber looking point on the frame that is bolted in. Then I went top side and found this other stray wire that looks like it may have been the other part...
Ok I got the lights working for the most part. The fuse looked good but I switched it out and it turns out it was bad. So now the lights do work although there are two small hickups. The turn signals on the right (passenger) side blink very slowly but do blink. Also the black out markers on...
It's ALLLIIIVVVVVEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mostly.....
It does start and stays running. Sounds pretty good although it has somewhat of a knock. I can't find the cable for my camcorder otherwise you could here it. Honestly it's probably normal but I want to make sure before I drive...
