This is just an idea but you might try a wire rope shop. Tell them you want a 1/4 in rubber coated cable by however long it is with soft eyes. But then again it may pop off all the time without that clamp I'm not sure. If worse comes to worse there are a lot on google shopping has a bunch for...
Just thought about maybe placing some like this in the back kind of tucked away somewhere.
Poly-Planar MA840 White Sub Compact Dual Cone Box (pair) Waterproof Marine Speakers
I could just take off the face and paint it CARC green and then tape off the insides and paint the body and mount...
I have been pondering how I was going to mount a stereo in my M1009 until now.
Jensen MSR2007 AM/FM/iPod® Controller Sirius®, Satellite Ready 160 Watts Marine Stereo
This thing actually uses the remote as the face unit. So you can mount the guts with all the wires up under the dash and then...
I was wondering about this myself actually. Just last night I got a new black mirror from LMC truck and some 383 green spray paint from Rapco. The paint went on smooth and looks good but does not totally match the color and texture of my truck. I will try to take a picture later but someone...
I don't understand how. They only have one adjustment! I took it to a local place here in Houston and the guy said it was very easy. They even charged me a little less than normal since he didn't have to do that much.
I was changing out the front parking lenses on my CUCV today and cleaning some over spray off the head lights so I decided to take the cover off of the black out driving light as well. I wanted to do this because when the Army repainted this truck they didn't tape off the lens for this light...
Are you running supports down to the floor and securing it to the frame at all? This way the weight of the turret it not on the fiberglass? Also I'm curious as to why your feed tray is mounted on the gunners right? The M60 feeds from the gunners left side. Or am I just looking at the...
I want to run this by some of you before I go spend money on an alignment. As everyone knows I just got the truck running and driving good and I am trying to get it inspected hopefully tomorrow morning. The only thing that is strange about the ride is that the steering wheel is really off and...
I guess I will have to look at it. Haven't gotten a good chance to really familiarize myself with all that stuff yet. I'll try to take a look at it tonight though.
VICTORY!!!!!!
Ok the transmission when it was all said and done took 7 quarts total to get it up there. I may still have to add some more and will check it after the transmission is real nice and warmed up. Was having trouble getting the transfer case to shift into 2 HI and decided to check...
Well I went down and checked after I posted and at cold it still had just barely any oil on the dipstick. As in not even enough to really see it just feel it on there. So I added another quart which brings it to 4 qts I have put in there. I assume I should see at least some on the dipstick...
This is getting pretty frustrating. Ok my truck originally had a serious transmission leak and wouldn't move. Well it turned out I was missing my vacuum modulator and modulator valve. I just put both of them in and added transmission fluid. I get in the truck and it fires right up, try to...
It's just a copy of the bumper they use on cop cars. I actually like it but think to truly be effective it needs to be mounted lower down on the bumper. This way it has more support from the actual bumper where it ties into the frame and also can snug up against another cars bumper.
I guess one thing I can say about the paint scheme is that it wouldn't stand out as much as a flat OD green truck. Of course I think it would be just as easy to paint it flat beige. Also if he wasn't wanting a total military look I'm wondering why he still but the "US ARMY etc etc" on the...
I wonder how he knows the truck participated in Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom. Good looking M1009 though. Not too crazy about the semi-gloss paint though.
