    Shift indicator question

Ok I'm having a little problem with this one. I got a new indicator from LMC truck. I installed it and everything looked good. I went to try it for the VERY FIRST TIME and the dang clip LMC truck used BROKE! Well I had the old one and the cable was good so I re-used that one. Now you would...

CUCV vs excursion, F350, or other pick up for bug out and snow vehicle.

Well if you are looking for a BOV naturally you would want to stay away from a modern vehicle because of all the electronics. While the jury is still out concerning an EMP's effect on vehicles one thing is for sure and that is the less electronics the better.

Another one: WTB NOS Dashboard Cover

Ok but what color dash did they come with from the factory?

Another one: WTB NOS Dashboard Cover

I can't see where anyone offers a light gray dash. I do see "medium gray" though. Is that the one I want?

Got a turbo! Now the hard part.

I found a turbo out of a 6.5 today up for sale and the guy emailed me this description: "turbo kit for the 6.2, which is from a 95 6.5 ltr turbodiesel chevy motor. Will come with the pass side exhaust manifold, turbo, intake, nuts bolts everything." What else will I need besides getting an...

6.2 J Code Motor with Tranny into a Land Cruiser

Ok I'm wondering if anyone has a truck they want to sell off as parts that still has the motor, tranny, and at least most of the parts for the motor. I have a Toyota Land Cruiser that I want to drop the 6.2 with tranny into. The Toyota's came with a 2F and mine is not the best running and they...

Heck or high water not an issue for my M1009

I remembered I did take one picture that night with my cell phone. It's not terrific but you get an idea of how deep it was. The sign you see off in the distance is up on a curb and probably 15"-18" above the road grade at it's base. The other two pics are ones that my buddy took about 2-3...

Good Experience Changing the Glow Plugs and Relay

Yeah that rear passenger plug was a pain. I used deep socket and a ratchet. I just reached in under the battery tray and felt my way through it. Of course I have long arms and I could just barely reach it so if I'm sure most people would have to get a little more inventive.

Good Experience Changing the Glow Plugs and Relay

Well I knew it would probably be a good idea to go ahead and change out my glow plugs and glow plug relay. The truck started great after it warmed up but was hard starting in the morning. Sometimes I had to crank and crank the truck. Let off, recycle the ignition, and then crank again before...

Belt whine... how do I tighten them?

I guess I will chime in since I finally got mine to stop squealing. On the alternators I used the longest handled flat head screw driver I could find at Home Depot. It tightened them right up. I then used a 36" pry bar for the power steering pump. What I did was I took the curved end that ha...

That's strange. The one down here could clear a lot easier than they could get tinted.

    M1009 Part Needed

The glass in mine was broken as well. It was $130 to have it replaced at the local glass shop.

    Failed turbo install

I've had nothing but trouble with Meineke throughout the years. They often do extremely shoddy half hearted work and charge absorbent amounts of money for it. Your case does not seem different. I would call a local diesel mechanic and ask them who they recommend if anyone. When i had a Dodge...

    Need M1009 seat belts

On your glass I would just go to your local glass shop. I just had mine replaced and it only cost $130 installed.
