I found the problem. I hope! It turns out two of the injectors I loosened to let the air out of the lines were not as tight as they should have been so I was leaking diesel everywhere. I will let it cool down tonight and then tomorrow we'll see if that was it.
Air in the system sounds likely to me too. Honestly I didn't prime the system or anything either. Just took the old one off poured some diesel in it and slapped her on. So I'm guessing this is user error but something I can fix with no new parts.
Ok I recently changed my glow plugs and glow plug relay as I was having some starting issues when the truck was cold. It would start but only after I cycled the glow plugs a time or two and cranked on it for a bit. After changing out the plugs and relay (ACDelco plugs, and BWD relay) it...
Ok question for you guys that swaped a gasser into your CUCV. Will a 350 mount into the trucks without swapping the motor mounts? I called Advanced Adapters and they said that they "think" I just need the motor mounts for a GM 350 V-8.
AHY help is greaty appreciated. :-D
Would a fuel filter assembly out of a 2002 Dodge diesel work? My brother bought a new one from the dealership because his was leaking and then a week later someone pulled out in front of him and he avoided them but hit a tree while pulling a trailer .
Anyway mine is not leaking but the...
Be careful in your cheapness. Should you ever have to buy a new tire 16" tires cost more than 15". They say they have to reinforce the sidewalls more is why.
One time I was working flood duty in Houston (Summer of 2001 it flooded pretty bad). Anyway we were in about 10 HMMWVs and had stopped to eat in this park. Well this Honda Civic with two girls in it just kept passing by us again and again. They would slow down when they got near us and then...
You would be better served buying an actual armored vehicle. They pop on Ebay from time to time. 1/8 in steel wouldn't stop hardly anything by the way. Maybe a 22 round.
I think the width of those beds is something like 60". So if your troop seats are only 20" wide you will only have 20" in the center for people to walk in the bed. Pretty dang narrow....
You know a lot of people think that old iron trucks like we have are natural Faraday boxes. Since they have their own ground and all the electronics are basically in a steel box (the body) and then wrapped in rubber (an isolator) we should in theory be ok.
Like I said check out the book I...
I think those lifts look bigger than they should be on older vehicle because of spring sag. I want to lift my Land Cruiser and right now the factory springs are as flat as they could be. I bet I get 4" out of the 2-1/2" lift I buy for it.
I have never seen one. I have one that is in perfect condition that I got while in the Army. They had about four of them that they were throwing away into the scrap bin new in the box. I took one and some other buds took the others. I never asked why they were throwing them away but I know...
