Does anyone know how hard this is? It's something I've always wanted to learn how to do and I know I can get the parts and do it a lot cheaper than taking it somewhere. I'd like to change out the gearing to a 3.73 gear and leave the gov-lock/detroit in the rear. If possible I've thought about...
Ok I have a question. My windshield washer has never worked since I got the truck from GL. The windshield wipers work fine on all speeds however and when I hit the washer tab the wipers cycle and there is a click from the wiper motor but no fluid comes out.
I was looking on parts train and...
Does anyone if there is anyone in the Texas or South Louisiana area that sales these trailers? I am in need of one and haven't seen any come up on GL in a while and I'm kind of in need of one now. I have to go pick up a generator in Southern Mississippi and would like to use a trailer instead...
Here is mine. I used a piece of instrumentation angle iron from Lowe's. You can get it one foot sections like I did or a 2 ft section and cut it in half. I then took some 5/16" x 1' all thread rod and some flat washers and nuts. Assembly is pretty straight forward. Because I'm building a...
I figured I would add some updated pictures of the truck with all the white marker stuff off. Here is what I have done so far.
- Replaced all belts with Gates brand belts.
- Replaced the glow plugs, glow plug relay, and installed a new glow plug relay card.
- All new BFG All Terrains...

How are you...
I'm wanting a set of 4-3/4" ones so I can fit them in the grill. The 5" would be just a little bit too big so I think the 1/4" of leeway will help. I think to do what you want you will have to move the bridge plate. Once you do that you could possibly bolt them to the bumper.
What is it I need to tell an alternator shop that is doing the rebuilding? Isn't there something special they should be made aware of? I thought it was an isolated ground but I called one guy and he had no idea what I was talking about.
I saw a guy take some seats out of a 1996 Chevrolet and put them in without any problems. It's been at least 10 years though and I can't remember if he had to mounts any at all. The truck he put them in was a 1984.
I might get flamed but overall the the Land Cruiser is the safer bet. Very tough truck and lots of stuff to help with expedition runs.

Air - PA2073: $11.00 each
Fuel - BF856: $10.50 each
I think to make it so I can do this without any problems if I make a mass order. So lets figure out a day of the month when I can place an order and I will do that to save on some...
