Oooooh! Nice truck. My M211 had the same hole cut in the side of the bed as well. Ex- fire department truck too. Keep us updated, but don't wait so long next time.
Don't throw them away or use them for grease rags. They will fit you again within 10 years. Put them in a box, high up on a shelf so the dog can't get at them.
Why are you even asking?
By the way, I've been struggling to NOT buy one here that was underwater for $1,500
But seriously, we are going to say bad things about you if can really buy it for $100 and you don't.
I'm not trying to hijack your thread, but somebody needs to post some...
Sounds like you have enough parts to keep them both going. Usually the only thing I worry about on trucks without well known history are the automatic transmissions and the possibility of the engine freezing and cracking.
Trk 2
Can you get at the flywheel and use a big prybar to get something moving?
Even if the rings are rusted to the cylinders you should get a couple degrees of movement.
Thanks, Whew!

Jim, I'm running out of options. I will PM you my address. ANY help would be appreciated.
Pictures and measurements would be REALLY appreciated!
I found some double fording cables on ebay.
This does not have one of those 4" lift kits without the correction kit for the drag link does it? they have been known to dive to the right due to what is also called "bumpsteer." You step on the brake then the front end dips down pushing the draglink backwards resulting in the tires turning...
I never considered it either. It does make sense now. It would have had HEI ignition in 1974 (first year) and a tall aircleaner and a PCV valve in rounded valve covers. What threw me was the lack of emission components I expect to see in a 1974. Emissions were more relaxed on the trucks.
Just...
Wow! It would be great if everyone in our country had your strength and positive attitude. Thank you for your sacrifice on the fireline. Sounds like you make your own path forward in life. I respect that.
It was pressure washed. I intend to remove the front clip and all tires (for brake work) Then I will spray it black.
I'm planning on having 2 exhaust systems bent up this week.
Welcome from Wisconsin! I see from your other posts you are new and just purchased a M135. We look forward to seeing you post pictures of your new truck. We appreciate reading all the details of how you aquired it and any history you are willing to share about your military vehicle.
But first...
