I already have a good condition 105 , so my next purchase will be the pods. How unstable do you think a pod with 400 gallons atop a 105 will be?
My plans are to have a movable fuel source , not necessarily to be used daily over the road.
Thanks all for your help. I decided to pass on the M149A2, and will be looking for a pod to put on my 105.
Thanks again for all the input and great advice.
I was looking to pick up a M149A2 for water, but I was wondering if it could be used to haul diesel.
I think these tanks are stainless so I don't see that as being an issue, but I’m not sure if they have a internal slosh baffle.
I would probably cut and weld shut the dispensing manifold...
so does this mean it should carry a 69 amp single phase load running at 133% ?
Based on the assumptions I made above, is the quote correct at a .8 power or a 1.0 PF . From what I understand about power factor the limitations are the engines HP... I think?
Having the Tm state the the genset...
I am trying to understand the 002a capabilities, and the relationship between the %rated current meter, powerfactor and output in amps.
I understand that the unit produces; 52 amp 120 v .8 pf = 5 kw / with the %rated current meter at 80%.
Can I assume that at: 100% I get 6.24 kw...
It's on my list for tomorrow. I'm just concerned that the fluid loss that has already occur will cause the unit to fail when I need it most.
I was hopping to have a cost affective back up.
Is the fluid to disperse heat from the voltage conversion?
This issue was a side-bar in my (Mep 002A Battery Indicator post 9/26/2011) I hope I am following the sites mores in making it a new post.
I contacted Delks and they have a “new transducer ” (pulled from a new unissued replacement panel) . Mine is an A&M, and the transducer Delks has on hand are...
I finally got my 105 home from a 300 mile pickup. Thanks to all the advice, and information on this site it was a good experience. (Except trying to flip the lunette@ G/L ...lol) I tried using some" Krylon Camouflage ultra flat 4293 olive" for some surface rust touch up, but it’s a bad color...
M16ty,
Good call on the lunette flip, I tried at G/L with, heat, bar, sledge to no avail.
When I got back I finally had to use a hydraulic ram between the lunette ring and goose neck. It still took heat and a hammer.
It didn’t look all that bad inside...just stubborn

This is the tag I pulled off the leaking Frequency Transducer, Is this the info you need to see if you have a match?
Thanks for helping on this I would like to keep it original if possible and financially practical
Keith_J ,
So the battery gauge read out and volts I stated = A normal functioning DC charging system.
So with the dying frequency meter, as it goes will it give inaccurate reading? Or will it just die
Will running low/high frequency hurt anythings down stream.
Are there original...
I fired up my first Mep and it runs great, I ran it for about 5 hours an noticed the battery indicator stays in the same spot (Border of Green yellow)
The voltage at the battery terminals: Stopped 25.7 / Running 26.1
So I assume its charging, but is that enough voltage.
I know my civi trucks...
