That, makes sense. Is there a good link you know of for a searchable PM magazine data base?
As for my linkage, I will be giving the injector pump it's B12, Possibly sticky from the the long storage period .
As far as I can tell from the paper work I got with this unit , it has been in...
Thanks, That gives me peace of mind ( Not a bag injector,pump,ect.....)When I was was ruining Dozer's, backhoes, etc.. was always had an idle cool down before shut off. Is there and issue with oil circulation issue on the Mep-002a during idle. I can't seem to find it in the TM.
Dose the extra weight affect the operation of the injector pump ? I'am thinking of going metal also, but I'am wondering why they put a plastic socket for the ball in the fist place.
Here is my fix , it is in stock a car-quest for $10.00.
When I turn the master on / off ( engine not running) I see no movement of the plunger, but yet when i have the unit running ( Runs smooth and clean) and I shut off the master the unit stops. So assume the plunger is working?
Can you expand on the sluggish control collar/ fix.
Thanks
I ended up with a broken linkage while adjusting the fuel shut off solenoid.
Any ideas on a fix, a new ball? Joint & ball assembly?
Or do I have to find
2990-01-049-0578 BALL JOINT EA 1
LK859 01843
150-0939
Additionally is the shut-off solenoid energized when the master switch is on Prime...
Here are the pics, Tags look like they were recently removed( Shiny scratches) Your thoughts, New, rebuild whats the log book- form telling me?
Thanks,
Is there any definitive way to tell if it was a rebuild or new(28 years old/new)?
When they rebuild them how far do they go, I mean is there a "replace all SOP" or just fix whats broke and send back into service.
Starting the 3 ton A/C will be the test I guess. So if the A/C pegs the gauge when it starts, but settles down to 120% + - . This would be a A acceptable long term load?
All this calculating and I haven't had time to see if they run yet. They have 2.9 hours and came with the original...
I like blybrook's idea http://www.steelsoldiers.com/trailers/51347-lunette-flipping.html , But with the 1 1/2" box wrench cost $70.00, pintle set up, $200 I feel like I am coming close to the original military acquisition cost. At worst i might be a little nose down .
I am going to pick up my first M105A2 at Nellis this week and need some advice.
I have read the post's pertaining to picking up a M105, and I think I have a plan.
I'am going to flip the lunette, and I need to know what size box wrench to bring for the lunette nut.
Additionally if I have a...
Power factor definition is giving me a headacheaua I like your approach "If it were mine I would test it by gradually adding to the
load." I think the only issue will be the house 3 ton 12 seer a/c. The shop has a 2.5 ton 18 seer inverter so i think that will run,so I
guess we...
Doesn't the 002A get is 5kw (" maximum rated power........5KW (0.8 Power factor") ratting running at 80%?, or am I not understanding the whole Power factor thing?
That's great advice on the slow draw test, I never considered the " brown out affect' on my PC, scales etc .
That would not be fun...
MEP 002A is the unit I have,
So if I run at 120% I will be at 7.5 kw. The plan will be to manage the load less the A/C at about 80 %. The A/C will push it up to the 120% and could stay on for awhile ( its still 101 right now here in AZ)
Do you think it OK to run this way long term ( lets...
My plans are to back feed the panel for house and shop both.( both are in same panel) If it’s a short term outage the house (Refrig, freeze ect..) will be the primary concern, and our day temps are still over 100 here so depending on time of year A/C will be an issue also.
If it is a SHTF...
